I've stayed for 3 nights over the weekend here. Although is an older style hotel but it's still well maintain. The receptionist is friendly. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is close to central train station and convention centre which is perfect for me. It's also easy to find food in the area. The free breakfast is a small basket consist of 2 slices of bread, small box cereal, butter, jam or peanut butter, milk and orange juice. The only thing lacking is there is no daily housekeeping for the 3 days staying in there. Overall is quite a good hotel with a reasonable price.

we stayed 5 nights in a room that was not what was advertised. in the booking it said a refurbished room, the first thing we noticed was the handle from the closet was missing. that night when we went to close the blinds in the bedroom, they were broken and would not close. We reported these 2 issues the next day and were told that the maimtenance person would be up soon to fix the problems or early the next morning, They never showed. We figured that as these simple problems could not be fixed, why report the rest of the problems. These included broken tiles, a lot of mould in the shower, broken drain in the shower with a sharp edge and no cleaning equipment in the apartment. When we wrote an email to pass on our feedback to GM blamed us for most of the problems and not the staff

This hotel is in the city in a handy location. Close to shops and Central Train Station. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. This is an older style hotel (built in the early 1900's). Our one bedroom apartment (608) was spacious and included cooking and washing facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent.
There was only a view of building tops. This apartment could do with a refurbish and a larger tv. Also, the breakfast pack in the fridge is very basic - could do with some jam for the toast. We found the aircon rather noisy. The parking is a bit tight and they charge $23 per night.
Overall, it was ok for an overnight stay but I wouldn't want to spend a long time there.

The hotel staff are very helpful and the situation of the hotel is great for doing business in Brisbane. Downstairs is a great cafe open for meals breakfast and lunch.
Rooms and hotel is art deco and the owners have left much of this lovely art work to be enjoyed.

Lovely old hotel that had some wonderful features. Great location - not far from the Brisbane River, Central Station and the main shopping area of Brisbane. Rooms are good size, clean, a little dated but ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the 2 night stay was good value. Would definitely book again should we return to Brisbane.
