Not bad, but need changes

Took the wife, baby and 3 year old here for 3 nights. On check in none of the staff understood English to assist me. There was no one to help us with our bags up to the 6th floor. Thanks to an old security man with a crew cut assisted us. He was very nice and helpful during the whole stay. During the day he would help my wife with the baby stroller and baby bag down the steps to the truck. He needs a raise in pay, very nice man always said hello. The room was one of the upscale rooms, had enough space for us. Had great view of the ocean and the multi tiered pool. The patio had two chairs to sit in, but the patio needs a make over, and paint job. The pool looks lovely until you get in and see how dirty the water is. I never saw anyone cleaning the pool while I was there. We ate breakfast every morning and they had cold cooked eggs precooked sitting on plates for you to eat. I asked for fresh eggs and got some cross looks for not taking the cold eggs. A cook was not standing by at the egg cooking station so they had to go fetch her each day from somewhere. Also, there were only a couple of salt shakers at a few tables so every morning I would have to go search tables for the salt shakers. The salt in the shakers were all caked up from the sea air and it was hard to get anything out. There were no pepper shakers. The grounds had nice trees, but the wood boardwalks and hand rails need sanding and stained again.

Visited this place seeing it was a 3-4 star resort. Once it may have been but today it needs much cleaning, TLC, and general maintenance. Found a lot of black mold in our room. Balcony door didn't work well, pool was quite dirty, and NO ACCESS to the beach. It was a 1.5 meter drop to 'access' it.

Breakfast is classic Thai - some thai dishes, cereals, juices, salad, toast.

Service was less than adequate.

My family and I will not be staying here again. Not worth the even affordable cost. We checked out early actually when we did try it.

A horrible place.

Was there today with two nights reservations. It's very far from city. Once in room, it smells bad, mosquitoes etc... Not clean hotel. The reason to go there was the beach for swimming. There is really no beach per say. Once in room, you can see big garbage, the send is full of detritus, it's disgusting and the management of the hotel should have addressed this. You definitely can't swim there. We left less than an hour after arrival. So bad experience.

You can't expect a reasonable service here.

I went to this place for business and spent 2 nights there. I must say that is enough to make my decision in never return.
The hotel looked spacious with fancy swimming pool with panoramic view from the balcony, facing the beach. We arrived before the check in time at 14.00 pm so we decided to have lunch, which was ready straight at 12. You can't have it before that. However, until around 15.00pm the rooms were still not ready and among our members, there were a lot of complains for rooms' quality. My room, for example, lamp light was broken, towels were smelly (not with fragrance or detergent, I can assure that), and the provided coffee cups were filthy. Actually, every cups and glasses in this hotel are filthy, to be exact. There was prominent milk stained on each glasses. Food are edible, but I still do not know why the staff couldn't refill them in time or make an effort to refill anything at all. So many staffs were idling around the canteen while the guests were also idling and waiting for food. Anyway, you can't really expect a good service from the staff. You can't expect them to speak to you properly or even listen when you want to make an order for drinks. And they won't tell you if they can't or won't arrange anything for you. Such as, you can ask for an on-the-go cup of (tasteless) coffee. About 30 minutes passed and they gave you a dine-in cup and said they couldn't find any plastic cup. You can order a room service but you can't expect them to pick up a used plates even you put it in front of the door. Until we checked out it was still there from the first day. It probably stayed there for a time because we saw it as we check in our room.
Good thing is the beach. This hotel is beachfront. You can use the elevator to go down 5 stories for the beach. They didn't have any water activity equipment or a beach chair, so make sure you bring yours if you want a water activity. Also bring your torch because they don't normally turn on the light when it is dark at that building. It could be quite dangerous, so don't go to the beach alone at night.
The hotel is nowhere near any convenient store. You can't walk to the nearest minimart. All you can do if you don't have a car is to use their limousine service which is about 100 baht for a one way trip no matter how far you want to go. I had the impression that they don't have enough staff because it took almost an hour of waiting until the car arrived. They couldn't tell you as well about when will the car arrive.
The reception was very nice. They were friendly but they also couldn't do what you asked in term of service and help.
In conclusion
1. Place: Very nice beach view from the balcony. Ask for the new wing (building B) However, it is not always clean or always ready.
2. Service: don't bother
3. Cleanliness: bring your own cup/glass/Thermos and towel
4. If you visit Rayong for beach, you may want to consider another hotel as well.
5. Bring your own car and check for places that you want to visit ahead.

Located at peaceful but isolated beach area

Located at a peaceful beach area (beach not so clean), but difficult to access by public transport.We stayed in deluxe room at 9th Floor of the old building (hotel has new building too), the room was big enough and view from the balcony was nice. But the room were not cleaned properly and hot water in tub didn't work properly for which we asked to change the room but couldn't get it done. Breakfast was good and hotel staff were friendly.
