Tranquil rural idyll amidst the stunning Sierra Espuna
Mactravel53on 28/10/2017 10:44We were looking for somewhere tranquil off the beaten tourist track in rural Spain to chill out and do some walking. We found it here. In spadeloads!
Book direct on the website for the best price and correspond with Andrès by e mail with any queries or preferences. He is just soooo helpful. Let him know if you are arriving before the 5pm check in and he will confirm it's ok to use the sitting room and toilet in building 3 where there is also an honesty bar, and you're also welcome to use the swimming pool, terraces and sun room.
The walks start from the nearby campsite in the village and are waymarked and take between three or four hours, Andrès will give you the free map booklet. They are stunning through pine forests into the hills and villages and not busy at all...we only met one other couple all day. Sturdy shoes or boots and plenty of water are essential, as is sun cream...
Cena, (dinner), has to be pre booked and is made by either Andrès or his sister. Exquisite cuisine!
Rooms and surroundings are rustic shabby chic but very much in keeping with the general ambience and Rural hospederia setting. We had the suite with the view over the valley, (see pictures) - stunning. Not quite the luxury of a Parador but it met our every expectation of what we wanted and was as described on the website.
Hope this helps you decide, if you want a rural idyll in tranquil real spain with exceptional friendly helpful hosts amidst stunning scenery, this is it. Go, you won't be disappointed.
Perfection in the Sierra Espuna!!
bigmasheron 17/10/2017 18:19A veritable oasis of peace and tranquility.Building very well appointed,lots of terraces to sit and admire the views.Lovely pool and solarium.Room was very well appointed with all the usual bits including robes.`Honesty`fridge with beer ,soft drinks etc.Also free tea and coffee.The hosts were wonderful and could`nt do enough for us.Dinner was excellent,if a little late for us northern europeans!! All in all a very peaceful place with lovely people in the foothills above Murcia.

The setting is magnificent, with view across the valley and the friendly service only adds to the experience.
The room was well equipped with the welcome addition of mosquito nets at the window, allowing us enjoy the spectacular view from the bedroom window at night.
The food in the restaurant was freshly cooked and very good.
This is a very special hotel !!

ChrisandLindaMon 25/09/2017 20:04Me and husband Chris went to this beautiful hotel its like paradise, sadly Chris died on the 2nd day of our holiday, Andres, Angela and everyone was so kind and looked after me and my daughter Victoria who came out to be with me, we will return next year its like being in a beautiful retreat.

lolo74410on 24/09/2017 15:41The hotel is very clean, full of charm and serennity, in a small gorgeous village lost in the middle of nowhere in the Sierra Espuna,
i just stayed one night unfortunately but had time to appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the manager, Andres, as well as the whole staff,
the room was very comfortable, the restaurant excellent.... nothing to say.. : 10/10 !!!
