What People are saying

Perfect end to my trip

Abiby on 23/08/2017 15:17

My friend and I booked this hotel via Verychic and it was a great deal. We had a free upgrade and had a goodie bag waiting for us in the room, including a bottle of wine. Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. The decor is very eclectic but in a nice and harmonious way and the rooms are extremely cosy. It took us a while to get used to the lamp system and understanding which button did what, ut once we did, things went smoothly. Breakfast was tasty and diverse with a mix of healthy treats and interesting combinations (such as the charcoal croissant). I loved the daily jogurt.
Dinner was also good. As it is a buffet, some items might not be as tasty as they should be but overall, the dishes were appetizing.

Small Relaxing Vacation with my Father

DJGiap on 08/12/2016 10:32

I had the chance to visit this Luxury Hotel because my Father had a free Thermal package offered by his insurance. The structure is old but refurbished at 90% ... for sure it is potentially 4*L but the mixture of recently refurbished items among very old and probably original ones (like light switches) put it at a 3*L level maximum. Reception, restaurant, and the rest of the services are at near 5* level, with a small notice on the breakfast: eggs are missing, so we cannot say that the nice buffet breakfast is a continental one. For the rest, take the chance of visiting this place midweek and during cold months, as the experience of being able to be in an outside pool during winter, with any kind of hydromassage sources, is really outstanding and the main feature of this place, that is not missing an inside beautiful SPA and any kind of beauty and massage treatment aside typical thermal ones!

Not really a 5 star resort

DaveTKingsLynn on 16/10/2016 11:08

We stayed 5 nights (3rd – 8th September) at the Roseo Euroterme wellness Resort in Bagno Di Romagno Italy and I must say we were very underwhelmed and disappointed with the experience.

The hotel is supposed to be four star however it would struggle to get 3 stars anywhere else in the world, we paid just under £750 plus flights and car hire for a 5 night stay in a junior suite with breakfast, the room we got looked like it had been furnished with 1970’s youth hostel style furniture which was so uncomfortable to sit on that whenever we wanted to sit and watch TV we had to sit on the bed however that wasn’t really an issue as the only English channels available are sky news and fox international.

With the exception of the check in staff no one speaks English, this includes bar and restaurant staff, all literature is printed in Italian only.

Breakfast (7.30 – 10.30) is buffet style and is a joke, as we had booked a suite we had breakfast in their privileged reserved area, the entire buffet with the exception of two jugs of juice and a small bowl of sliced fresh fruit was set out on the top of a small grand piano and consisted of a choice of three sliced cold meats, one type of sliced cheese and several croissants and cakes, some cereal but no milk only a large jug of natural yoghurt, no hot food was available and when we inquired about this were told that they had eggs which could be cooked for us however there would be an extra charge for this. It took three days to get a cup of drinkable coffee, the first day I asked for a café Americano this arrived as a little brown sludge in the bottom of a cup and a jug of hot water, the second day I asked for a café Latte and received a cup of warm milk, on the third day I asked for a cappuccino and finally received a cup of coffee however it was only luke warm, after that I gave up and drank juice which we provided ourselves.
One morning we arrived a little late to breakfast, just after 9.30, and found most of the food and all the plates had gone and the staff hadn’t bothered to replenish any of it. I had to go to the bar and ask for more food and plates to be provided, this was a challenge as none of the staff spoke English, they finally brought out one small bread baton but no plates, we ended up using the bowls, these were plentiful as no one seemed to want to eat cereal with natural yoghurt on it, funny that.

The only way into the hotel by car is via a very large carpark which is a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel, this was crammed full of cars and camper vans and we wondered what it was all about, on check in, because of the room we had booked, we were given a pass for privilege parking in a tiny carpark behind reception with approximately 20 very small parking bays, entrance and exit to this carpark was so restricted that it set off the cars parking sensors every time you went in or out, everybody else staying at the hotel was expected to park in the large carpark we had driven through but that didn’t explain the amount of cars parked there or the camper vans, this however became clear the first time we went to the thermal pool.

The thermal pool is a naturally heated pool and is very warm, it is both indoor and outdoor and would be very enjoyable and relaxing if it were not for the fact that the hotel sells general day passes for 15 euros and people come from miles around just to use the pool, so much so that they regularly have to close this down because it is full (this explained the over large carpark and all the camper vans), this means that no matter what time you go to the pool (open from 08.00 – 10.45pm) it is crammed with people, there is no time set aside for hotel residents to use the pool on their own.

Piped music is played throughout the hotel and pool area however the music wasn’t changed for our entire stay, the selection included several Christmas songs (in September)!

When we stayed there was a large number of children at the hotel who were allowed to run unsupervised around the entire hotel yelling and screaming at all hours of the day and night with no action taken by hotel staff and no evidence of parents anywhere they were even running around the bar every night .

5 star facilities, location and staff. 3 star food.

I stayed here recently for three nights with my husband on a half board basis. The highlights of the stay were the very friendly and helpful staff, who were attentive and really welcoming. The outdoor thermal pools were just amazing, and it was lovely to relax until quite late at night in the warmth. Heaven! The area itself is naturally beautiful, and very quiet, so it is a peaceful getaway. We visited San Marino in just over an hour, and Florence was a two hour drive - though I am sure that there are lots of other places to visit which are closer and just as lovely. To get a five star, the hotel does need to spend some money on replacing carpets and maintaining the balcony areas (we had just one chair and a broken umbrella). Also, the buffet style food - although beautifully presented and plentiful - was average, and we were a little disappointed with this. Breakfast was typical continental fare, but on balance had far too much sugary food to our taste. Overall, though, I would definitely stay again for the location and spa, but I would be tempted to stay on a room only basis and eat out.
