Tucked away from the busyness of Banos is this haven of calm and serenity...well at least until a bus load of ravenous Swedish tourists descends into the breakfast dining area!
Still nothing could really detract from the charm of this resort. There are acres of beautiful gardens, a lovely spa and pool, and a well-appointed room and great bathroom featuring lots of volcanic rock construction - may sound odd but was beautiful. And there was a peacock strutting around the grounds putting on quite the display with his full tail regalia.
My budget would not normally stretch to this type of resort, it was an inclusion in a small tour we were doing,,,and I am delighted that I got to experience this magical place.

This is the second time we've been to this hotel, which has plenty of character. It's decorated with old type writers, sewing machines and phones, while the gardens have a bandstand complete with piano.
The spa and pool are lovely, with thermal hot pools and cold plunge pools. I would also recommend the restaurant for both the à la carte dinner and the buffet breakfast (the highlight of which is the goat stew!).
The only downside we had was that the internet in the rooms was not working for the whole weekend we were there.

I actually visited Samari in March 2014 while studying abroad. It was to this day the most beautiful place I have ever been. I have been lucky enough to travel the world at a young age, and with this experience I can hands down say Samari is the ultimate place to visit. The staff was incredible, the food was incredible, the views were outstanding, and the infrastructure was breathtaking. I look forward to visiting Baños again just to visit Samari one more time.

We spent a wonderful weekend at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the spa and pool were beautiful and the staff was great. The restaurant was really great. All was truly great, congratulations!

The best hotel in Baños has a beautiful infrastructure, it is like returning in time its rooms are very comfortable where you can rest without any problem in your beds are as relaxing as sleeping in a pool, the SPA is something wonderful your pool is very Beautiful is the best place to rest, the restaurant and reception are very friendly, the food is very delicious, I would definitely return to Baños and to Hotel Samari.
