Hotel is in a wonderful location right in the centre of La Fortuna with easy access to all restaurants and services.
Free tea and coffee throughout the day and a good selection at breakfast all cooked well.
Downsides are the small rooms, not really suitable for international travellers, not enough room for large bags.
Bathrooms are functional but dated. Staff on reception rather surly despite or perhaps because of me speaking Spanish.
Hotel is rather like an American motel in style. Ok for a quick stay.

We elected to drive from Playas del coco to La Fortuna to experience another part of Costa Rica. As we already had a room, we wanted a room simple, clean and close to everything to allow us to maximize time and money. I was pleasantly surprised to find a cottage style hotel right in the center of town. It was not plush, but it was clean and had everything we needed to accomplish our goals. The front desk was so helpful, Leandro helped us book a couple of tours to fit into our short window of time. Laura was also helpful, confirming our reservations and making sure we would be able to get on the road early enough to arrive back in playa del coco before night fall.
The San Bosco inn also provided the option to use the facilities at the Volcano lodge to include the hot springs and spa service. I elected to have a service with Yensi and she was marvelous. She found every knot in my back and worked hard to relax them, but I would need several additional services to release my tension.
For some relax time head to the Volcano lodge. To get into the heart of things for a night or 2, San Bosco Inn will. It disappoint. Again, not bells and whistles, but clean, efficient, safe and located in the middle of everything. Breakfast is included.

Great location in the centre of town, with views of the Arenal volcano. Simple clean rooms, with comfortable beds. Good size pool with jacuzzi and sushi bar. Friendly staff. Short walk to reasonable restaurants..

Incredible location, right in the heart of La Fortuna, but still off the path enough that is is quiet. Hotel rooms are simple, but incredibly clean, and the housekeeping staff goes out of their way to make adorable towel animals. These extras are so rare to see in a budget range hotel. You can tell the property is well loved and cared for by the owner and all the staff.
Fantastic free breakfast with eggs, gallo pinto, fresh fruit, juice, cereal and more plus excellent coffee.
Beautiful little pool, and a nice area to lounge around in after a busy day of activities.
Front desk staff were amazing, and extremely helpful when booking tours and answering all of my questions. Shout out to Marlon, who was just so much fun to chat with! The vibe is just so friendly at this place.
Great little sushi restaurant attached to the hotel (seriously!) and tons of restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
You honestly can't get better than this for the value. After I left San Bosco, I missed it on my further travels.

we thought we had an idea of what to expect, but this was a nicer hotel in a regular hotel price range, we loved the ammenities, the staff, and the location. We could walk to souvenir shops and restaurants in town, and were very close to all the attractions.
