Close to beach and local shops so good if you dont have a car. Rooms well equipt with great views. Some noise from road if you have rooms facing that way. Pool and BBQ area always clean. Rooms only accessed by stairs so please take a ground floor room if this is a issue.

Apartment was 2nd floor great view, comfortable and had everything we needed, all comforts of home. In flight zone but not a real issue as 11pm - 6am no flights, peaceful, grocery shops close and various restaurants. Manager very nice and security was good. Thanks for relaxing week

We booked a 2br 8 MONTHS prior(with a $200 dep) to our visit and requested an upper level apt 2 weeks before arriving. We were given a ground floor apt and no effort was made by Brian to change rooms despite our intended stay of 10 days. SO disappointed to not have a sea view and being on the ground floor meant every passer by could look straight in.
Office only open from 9-3 with 1-2pm shut for lunch on weekdays and 9-12 weekends but often during those hours the phone would go to message bank and the office would be closed! .Apartment was spacious (unit 8)but the fans werent strong enough to keep the place cool.(no ac) Bedrooms opened to the street so were too noisy to keep windows open for the breeze. Pool setting and spa were lovely and great access to the beach.Undercover secure parking also good.
Check out at 9.30 was a bit early compared to most places at 10 and again manager not overly helpful with that..giving only half hour more which I really had to negotiate to even get! A little customer service always goes a long way...

We arrived from Melbourne 2 hours early, but were given a warm welcome and taken straight to our room, which was fantastic as we were tired and had a 2 1/2 year old grandson who was getting cranky. Much appreciated. We had a penthouse apartment and it was spacious and clean. The views from both balconies were fabulous, particular the upstairs balcony which was large and had a table setting for 6 (an umbrella would have made it perfect as morning sun was very strong !!) Our daughter and son-in-law and grandson had the lower level, which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the kitchen/dining/lounge, plus laundry facilities, whilst we had the upstairs bedroom which had ensuite, plus TV and a lounge, making it a perfect retreat for an afternoon nap !!! Walking along the beach track was a daily pleasure .... to the right straight to Tugun SLSC, and there are plenty of shops, cafes etc., and to the left straight to Currumbin SLSC, and a strip of shops and cafes. The pool at Sandcastles is set up well with a spa, and lots of palm trees to give you the tropical feel !!! Be aware that all along this part of the coast, you are subjected to constant air traffic (which we didn't mind at all, it was quite fun). You need to do a shop as soon as you can, to stock up with necessities ... the rooms are all self-contained and you need extra toilet rolls, laundry detergent etc. Kitchen was very well equipped. All in all, highly recommended for couples and families.

We spent 10 nights at Sandcastles. The location and views are amazing, the facility was clean and well presented, however the room we stayed in, room 21, was very dated.
It's decor was from the 80's and in great need over of a makeover. Of the 7 windows in the unit only 1 had a flt screen. the cloths dryer kept stopping while trying to dry clothes.
we would maybe consider another stay however they need to update the rooms.
