I was so impressed with my stay at this beautiful apartments I stayed for 2years.
The location is perfect just on the outskirts of the city nesettled at the bottom of the mountains so the rooms have stunning views.
Very quiet location at the end of the little soi.
The owner Tanin and the staff ensure the place is spotlessly clean, the laundry serivice is fantastic ready the same day and always very helpful in any situation.
I would very highly reccomend Sang Serene House to anyone and it will be my first place to stay next time.
Thank you Tanin

We are living here at the Sang Serene House for the next 3 months, the whole place is absolutely stunning, you get what you pay for here. It's so peaceful, listening to the frogs and crickets at night is just amazing, our unit is #3011, it's a corner unit with an L shaped deck, so much room on the deck, it comes with 2 patio doors, a king size bed and refrigerator, cable and internet, a working space and a table and chairs for 2. A huge wardrobe for all your clothes, a big LED tv, what more could u ask for. They also have a huge communal kitchen with everything u need to cook with. Mr Tanin is a really helpful man, oh yah they also have laundry machines for 20baht a load. They also have drying racks on your deck for the clothes. The area is called the Chang Phueak area, you would need transportation to get around, even with that being said the tranquility here is amazing and worth the drive maybe 7 minutes on the scooter and your at everything.

walls are sound transparent, easily hear conversations of next rooms. if they have tv or music you have it as well.
live cheesy thai pop music plays through the evening across the street.
next room water sounds like a waterfall.
left after one night.
Seriously serene

True to its name, this place is seriously serene. So serene, it seemed empty at times, even though the manager informed me they were completely full. Most of the guests are long-term, and generally keep to themselves, other than polite smiles in the stairwell. If you're a tourist looking to party and make friends, this is not the place to stay. I stayed for 2 months doing some software design, and I was very happy with my experience. The rooms are beautiful. The surroundings are beautiful. The staff are lovely and provide just the right amount of service. The noise level is almost nothing compared with nearby areas. There are many dogs that roam freely, and they do howl late every night, without exception, but that is unavoidable. The building is located about 10 minutes driving distance from any major streets, and it is not possible to step outside and quickly hail a taxi. Your best bet is to rent a motorbike and cruise through the beautiful, green side roads anytime you need to go to town.
I would love to give this place 5 stars, but I did have a couple issues with my water. The water began leaking from the heater, and to their credit, management had it fixed within hours. But then the hot water stopped working, and when they sent a repair man same-day, he felt the water and said it hot. The water was not hot, it was lukewarm, nothing like what it had been before the leaking issue. He didn't speak English well, and it was impossible to discuss something as subjective as what a truly hot shower is, so I did not get the hot water problem resolved. After many nights of dissapointing showers, I tinkered with the water hoses myself, and by lowing the water pressure, I was able to get truly hot water again. I suspect the problem is that they have very high water pressure in the building (one of their selling points), and the small electrical water heater was not powerful enough to handle the volume, causing leaking and temperature problems. Just a guess I made, but either way, I shouldn't have needed to resolve the problem myself. Other than that, my stay was wonderful, and I would not hesitate to stay again!
Its in the name Serenity

This is a small and very classy block of units set close to the city’s main mountain Doi Sutep and styled similar to a Bali villa.
The big advantage is the quietness and serenity of its location - thus the name sang serene.
The Thais have an easy-going manner that is perfectly exemplified by the helpful Mr Tanin and his lovely staff.
The location is a little out from the main hustle of Chiang Mai - so having your own transport like a motorbike is recommended.
I stayed for 3 months and loved every minute of it. The only reason I moved is because my new residence has a gymnasium and a view of the mountain.
