Nice and cozy hotel in Sardinia with great food

Hotel is arranged as individual buildigns, each having 1 or a couple of rooms with patios, some of which overlook the sea. Rooms are nice and clean, gardens are beautiful. Beaches are close, either a hotel beach or less crowded beaches nearby, some of which are good for snorkling. Amazing is the cuisine in the hotel. The only issue (very surprising though) that sufficient amount of drinking water is not easily accessible (on a bar you are given only a glass, not more).
Not perfect

It was a fine holiday, I spent it with my girl the food normally very good just the last two days not so good actually I also felt bad for all the night for something not so fresh probably, the animation not of the best, in my experiences sport and shows were very very poor, and in the mornings the animators (expecially one)they were so noisy, me stupid that I wanted to rest.
The rooms clean, but I also had a bad experienced on that a U shaped mattress for that I changed room, I'm not a pity person but ensure you all it was impossible to rest on it.
It started since the beginning not nicely we arrived they charged us for 80€ in order to use the sport facilities and the swimming pool, probably because the owners not so happy for the just paid 3000€ asked us to wear swim cuffs also those charged 2 euro each...not so nice when you just walk in.
Other thing I want to signal especially for old people is that In order to get to the beach you have to walk 400 meters plus eventually to arrive to your room that if is 619 etc doesn't look so funny....
In the swimming pool and restaurants every day for 8 days I heard babies crying all the day and all the meals...may be in too bad but I have only one week to relax in my life and I would like to relax not to hear them screaming while I have dinner with my girlfriend.
Excellent house with private beach

This is an outstanding place, the beach is absolute lovely and the hotel itself as well. The food is absolut brilliant, all in all a place to spend the holidays!
To reach the place from the airport you'll need a car, buy during the stay our car stayed in the parkingslot...so what more to say!?!

This is a good resort, considering the state that this part of island is in. There are many abandoned construction sites and closed restaurants in the area. Poverty is everywhere. Several beaches have no cafes or bars available. Many people are unemployed.
Still, this resort is fine, though it is not on the beach, you have to walk on a dirt road for 5 -7 min to get there. The beach has a bar, which puts your charges on your hotel tab. Further down the beach there is a better bar, with friendlier staff and great menu, but you need to bring cash to that one, for it does not belong to the hotel.
The beach is wonderful, clean and sandy. Lifeguard is always on duty. Shower is available.
Wifi only works at the lobby and the dining hall and is very weak.
The pool was quite cold, and we need to wear a caps to swim in it. The good thing is that it is not chlorinated. Better buy your own towels in the local village near costa Rei, for you get your room towels changed once a day, and if use those for the beach, will not get them replaced until the next day.
The rooms are small and a bit run down. The pleasant aspect is having sun beds right outside on you private patio and being able to enjoy the green lawn and the beautiful azalea bushes. Close your doors for the night! We had a rat run in and eat our food from the table. I have found droppings all over our fruit. Very unsanitary....
There are many large flies near the pool area, they may annoy you if you are trying to enjoy a drink from the bar. Bartender, by the way, is excellent.
The food at breakfast is the same every day. Scrambled eggs and either small sausages or bacon. Plates of ham and cheese( which do not get refilled in a timely manner), breads, yogurts, jams and fruit. 2 baristas making coffee, so be prepared to stand in a long line each time you want your espresso. We only ate there once for dinner and were extremely disappointed. All vegetables were pickled, I had to bring my own tomatoes and avocado to have something other than meat on my plate. What ever the menu list says is to be served that night, the layout is going to be exactly that, no more. Do not expect choices or surprises. If it says: soup, ravioli, pork chops and ribs, you will get just what it says plus some pickled veggies and cold watered-down wine. The people in the dining hall are rude and not attentive. They work as if they are doing you a great favour. Only few of them speak English, so bring your translator if you want anything done.
We realised that the complex itself is a nicest one in the area, so we do not regret having stayed there. However, if you want great service, cleanliness, beach within reach and food choices, you may not like this place. We went out to eat in the nearby village, were absolutely thrilled with the quality of food there. It is best to rent a car and drive around. Spend time beach hopping, hiking, sightseeing... The island is breathtaking!
