This amazing small hotel is situated in Umbra, close to Assisi and Perugia Airport. Alessio and his family are fantastic hosts. Rooms are typical Italian country style with everything you need. Breakfast is super as well as diner. The view and surrounding are beautiful. You are surrounded by olive trees, hills and great villages like Assisi, Gubbio and Perugia are just around the corner. Lots to do and see if you want to be active. There is also a swinning pool if you want to relax and enjoy the sun. It is a great place for a short stay holiday also in spring and autumn.

We returned to this fabulous place knowing that the care and attention is second to none.
We have been a few times before and will go again. We have been alone and with friends and the welcome is such that you feel like one of the family. This is a truly memorable place.

My parents and their friends visited Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti in april 2017. We recomended them to go there since our family visited them last during the summer of 2016. They were as exited as us and wanted us to give this review. Staff is super friendly, food is super good and the wine and view is just as good. Just go there! We had a wonderful stay at Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti. The property is located in the very calm Assisi countryside, well equipped and managed by Alessio and his family, who make you feel like home with their warm hospitality. You can enjoy relaxing afternoons at the pool, but also excellent food at breakfast (terrific cakes !) and dinner (the homemade pasta was yummy ...). Alessio gave us very good tips regarding restaurants & visits in the surroundings. Absolutely recommendable !!! We hope to come back.

We visited Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti with our big family and the whole experience could not have been faulted. My fiancé, 2 year old daughter and I stayed on the ground floor over looking the terrace. Beautifully decorated throughout, it has a sitting room equipped with a complimentary bar fridge, Coffee machine, kettle, sofa bed, TV, antique dining room table / chairs and side board with storage, air conditioning and safe. The bedroom was spacious with very comfortable bed, storage for clothes and air conditioning and the bathroom recently decorated with a very decent shower.
The resort is positioned overlooking stunning countryside; giving you the feeling of seclusion and tranquility. The pool and the surrounding areas are kept and maintained to a very high standard
What puts this resort above all others is its staff and food. Alessio welcomed our family at the airport and had already sorted the cars so we didn't need to worry about queuing, him and his family continued to do everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable and restful as possible - he even walked our child around in the pushchair to get her off to sleep so we could enjoy the fine food. Alessio and his family welcomed us to breakfast with a smile and chirpy persona, organised tour guides around local attractions and was on hand throughout the day to offer drinks around the pool and make our stay a better experience.
The food compares to Michelin Star quality and this was maintained throughout the week. Traditionally Italian 6 courses in the evening each gave their own taste sensations. This, along with a stunning backdrop of the local area and fine wine made each night one to remember.
We would highly recommend this resort and we will certainly return in the future.
