I stay here whenever I have to appear in the nearby Superior Court. The newly remodeled rooms are modern and pleasant and the highway-facing rooms are reasonably quiet: I was not disturbed by traffic sounds. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is large, clean and has very good food and drink offerings. We stayed two nights on a complimentary certificate - including breakfast - and one night at our own cost
I was concerned about two aspects: the hotel charges between $10.99 and $14.99 per day for wi-fi! In this day and age, that is almost unheard of. You can only get complimentary if you are an elite Marriott member. Cleanliness in the halls was sub-par. glasses and refuse were left on the carpet for days.

I went to the Santa Ynez valley for a cousin’s wedding.
The hotel has great facilities and easy to access.
It also worked great for my wife and myself since we didn’t wanted to be in Solvang which we found very crowded but close enough to have a 5 minute drive.
The personnel was great and the bed (as in any Marriot) was marvelous to rest.

Santa Ynez Valley is a beautiful place to stay, nestled in the vineyard-laden hills just a half hour from the coast. The Marriott is equipped with modern amenities, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants nearby, and the freeway is very close. Definitely would stay here again.

While the hotel probably rates a 5 star, the staff probably rates a 3 at best. We stayed here this past weekend and truly loved the hotel. The maids never did get to our room to make the bed or deliver towels. The bartender was at best a tad grumpy and one morning when I needed to ask a question there wasn't anyone at the front desk and I waited 10 minutes. Not what I expected out of a Marriott. The room was very nice and the grounds and facilities were equally nice. Sorry to rip the staff but maybe it can be a learning tool.
