This hotel has a great location with easy walking access to anywhere in the old town of Alba and also close to the train station. However, this is probably one of the only positives. The hotel is very old and the room looked like not a single piece of furniture (except the TV) was changed since the 1970s. My room was very dark and felt uninviting. It was not super clean and needed some proper maintenance. The reception was extremely busy during check-in so the lady there was quite abrupt and not very friendly. The advertised parking (one of the reasons why I chose this hotel) is always full, so don't even try. If you circle around the block a few times you will find parking somewhere nearby eventually. The breakfast was somewhat strange. Not sure if it is standard regional Italian dishes, but considering that Italian food is usually quite amazing, this breakfast was tasteless and bland. I ordered coffee from the unfriendly waitress but it never came. The wifi was ok'ish. For sure this is NOT a 4-star hotel - IMO a 2-star hotel at best! All in all not a great stay, but it was a place to sleep and that was ok.

We were a group of 22 persons staying in this Hotel for 4 nights. After what I had read i Trip Advisor I was positively surpriced. I think the Hotel have made some upgrading. I found the Hotel comfortable with a good breakfast, and AS I earlier mentioned, the Hotel is perfectly located.

The position of this hotel is perfect, right in the old town centre yet with private secure courtyard parking. Our GPS brought us to the hotel entrance, parking is to the right - go the wrong way down the street for a couple of metres. Personnel on reception very friendly and efficient, our comfort room large, well decorated and with a small balcony overlooking the old street. Breakfast wasn't quite up to 4 star standards. Would certainly stay here again due to its location and old fashioned charm.

Conveniently close to the train station and the center city. Has free wi-fi through some strange-ish. Good breakfast. Clean large rooms, beds ok. Tired decor and staff. Would greatly benefit from a re-do and a general perking up.

I'm really astonished to see how a such a great building in the heart of Alba is treated by its owner. Everything you find in front of you is a disaster as it is never been refurbished probably since the second world war. So either you're prepared to sleep in a very old style, bad and unconfortable room, or go for something else. The elevator has pieces of wall paper falling down and you start to pray to quickly reach your foor. Then you start using the stairs, which is the same and entering in a Dante's hells circle, with poor light and dusty carpets. The bathroom is old, very old. Breakfast is a fight... no way, nothing good but the location!
