Good, not great

Was here for a business conference. The meeting accommodations were fine. The room was a typical hotel room with the standard amenities.
The shower was a little rough; the water temp went from hot to cold randomly.
The salmon at the restaurant was excellent. We got in and out pretty quickly, but it was 6pm in a weeknight.
The grounds/setting are pretty nice. The lake is a 5 minute walk away, and its pretty.
Overall, I'd say its about 15% nicer than your garden variety HI.

The Sawmill Creek Resort was such a delight! From the wonderful food, the fun shopping and to the private beach! We were pleasantly surprised with all that the resort had to offer. We will defiantly go again, it is located in a great place right on Lake Erie. You have everything you need right at the Resort! The food was Amazing! Everyone was very nice and live music Saturday Night was great!
Be careful!

We dined at the Salmon Run Restaurant. The food was very good, when it finally came out. We waited an hour before we got our first drinks. There were 5 tables and 7 front of the house employees, not sure where the issue was. The food came out as at the same time as our appetizers. The food was good, so compliments to the chef. To cap off our evening, everyone that used a credit card to pay for the meal was double charged. Now we can not get any one from the hotel to return our calls! Pay with cash, plan on a 3 hour meal, bring your own beverage before you sit down.
We stayed there for a family wedding.

We stayed on Saturday night for a family wedding. There was supposed to be a block of rooms for us, but we were nowhere near our family memebers. Our suite was nice, but the carpet was filthy, with stains all over it. We had double beds and one of them had bottom elevated. It bothered me, so my husband slept in it. The room was dated, but decent. We were in the Shawnee area of rooms. You were supposed to use a key card to get in and out of the building. It was broken, so the door was left open at all times. I did not feel secure. We left on Sunday morning. I took a shower and the hair dryer did not work! Luckily, one of the girls in our family had theirs. That is unacceptable. My husband left his Samsung phone charger and cord plugged into the wall by the desk and we remembered it when we got home ( 4 hours away). I spent two hours trying to reach someone at the front desk. It finally said to leave a message and they would call me back. I left a message at 4:30pm, Sunday afternoon, and did not receive a call back, so I called again after 7pm. I was put on hold. When she answered, she said she was the only one there. I explained what happened. She was nice and checked to see if they cleaned the room yet, which she said they did not. She said she would send a girl to the room to retrieve it. I thanked her and asked her if they could mail it to me. She verified the last 4 digits of my credit card. I said we're all paid up. She said she could sent it, but it may cost us up to $10. She had to weigh it, etc. I told her she should use the money they charged us for a resort group fee, that we didn't know we were being charged for. I asked her to keep the charger there for me. I asked if I could speak to the manager. She said she wasn't there, but would be in on Monday morning. She said to call the front desk. I said I can't get through! She gave me her name and an extension. I still cannot reach anyone. I think that is terrible customer service. The charger is small and lightweight and certainly won't cost much to sent it, and I would think after charging almost $170.00 for one night, that the hotel would do this as a guest courtesy. I left a specialty pillow once, at a Fairfield Inn years ago. They called me after they found it, and sent it back free of charge. That is good customer service! Also, When I checked out, the girl didn't even acknowledge when I told her about the broken air dryer..No apology, no nothing. I was really disappointed in your customer service at Sawmill Creek Resort. Maybe it's just too big there and no one really cares!

We were there for 8 days for our Doberman National. The hotel was good, accommodating to our needs..but you try to eat in the restaurant, plan on 3 hours. They were very understaffed the whole time we were there. Sometimes we would wait 30-45 minutes just to get our drinks. Then another hour or more to get food...not sure if they were understaffed or just didnt plan right but our convention had been booked for over a year so its not like it was a surprise. It would have been convenient to eat there as leaving sometimes was not an option BUT after 3 visits on 3 different days to the restaurant and no changes, we went off sight from then on because we could leave, go to a restaurant, eat and get back before others got out of the restaurant, which was sad.
