On a return visit, gorgeous atmosphere throughout the hotel and bar. It's quaint and atmospheric, steeped in (and respectful of its) history. Superb staff, very attentive and responsive. I adore the huge beds, always sleep brilliantly! It's city centre so don't expect silence... But do expect cleanliness, history, and charm. It won't disappoint!

Lovely old school building in a very nice area of Dublin with bags of charm and original features intact. Staff were all very friendly and the bar staff were all lovely and chatty. Only had a starter each but the food was still lovely and plenty of choice drink wise.
Traffic was terrble outside so decided to walk to 3 Arena took a different route back but made it in 20 minutes so a good location.
Rooms were spotless, a very traditional decor throughout the hotel but possibly wouldnt suit any other decor as it was in keeping with the building.
Breakfast was filling with plenty of choice.
Free parking for guests is a big plus side as it would cost minimum 13 euro per day elsewhere but be prepared for the latter as parking is very, very limited but it was good to hear staff tell people visiting the restaurant/bar that parking was priority to staying guests.

Really cute hotel with a great location. There is wonderful bar and a restaurant attached and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Everyone who works there is super helpful.

The Schoolhouse Hotel bar is a super location for food and a few drinks before and after the rugby internationals at the Aviva Stadium. You can be in your seat in 15 minutes from the bar and it always attracts a good crowd of local and visiting fans. The bar has plenty TVs to the watch the other games and the food is fantastic. It is close enough to the stadium for convenience yet far enough away not to be over crowded so that you can’t get to the bar.

I'd booked several rooms last year but then had to cancel at short notice due to illness - the hotel was very helpful about it all, which is one good reason I booked again this year. Exellent service, in a great location, and very good value for money by Dublin standards. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and quiet. The downstairs bar is great, with excellent Guinness and food.
