Spent 3 nights here with friends, chose this location in order to be close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The address of this motel is Bar Harbor but it's in fact a couple of miles to downtown Bar Harbor. The motel has rooms facing the Ocean and those with a back view which aren't anything special. There is a common deck to sit out, an outdoor pool, the rooms are simple but clean, homely with nice cosy details. Each room has a fridge and a coffee machine. The beds and pillows were very hard, it was like sleeping on prison bunks practically but we were so tired after the long hikes in the park that we didn't mind too much. There are new owners who are doing their best to clean up the surroundings and make the place more presentable. Very good wifi included in the room price.

We spent two nights at the Acadia Ocean View Motel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The new owners have restored this motel and our room was clean and more than adequate. We also had a great view of the bay from our room! We spent two days at the Acadia National Park and the location of the motel was excellent. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their establishment and I highly recommend it.

As well as the great view, the new owners couldn't be pleasanter or more attentive. Even though it was the end of their season, they were so understanding with various requests and didn't mind at all being disturbed over the intercom.
The situation is great especially if you don't mind being out of town. Suited us fine particularly with the entrance to the National Park. Someone without a car would struggle though.

The view at sunrise is fabulous. Their Internet connection was down when we arrived; came back up 4 hours later. More outlets needed. We had the mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a lamp all running off one power strip. Using the micro knocked the breaker out; is a fire and safety hazard.

The view is spectacular one of the nicest I have ever stayed in.
This motel has a very hands off approach- we arrived too early to check in but staff only spoke to us through the intercom. When we checked in the lady did show us a few things on the local map.
Such a shame they don't do breakfast as would be a fabulous view.
Rooms have balconies but chairs too low so can't see over the balustrade. Bathroom is small and thin towels and no shelves to put things on. I also thought the beds were hard.
It is a great location to explore Arcadia, Jordans excellent for breakfast in Bar Harbour before a big hike.
