Every thing is great here. We couldn't really ask for more! We come over on our anniversary every year and also in between. The freezer actually works in the refrigerator. They have 25 rooms and it is very warm and cozy there. You can park almost right in front of your room with a landscape buffer between the covered walk and the parking lot.

We enjoyed everything about this hotel - from the outside fire pit - to the in room fireplace - location was great - only a few miles to the elephant seal sanctuary and the Hearst Castle . The picnic basket breakfast was amazing.

Stayed 4 nights and slept well. Especially liked the morning breakfast basket - choice of huge meat or vegetable breakfast burrito, juice or milk or yogurt and fruit parfait, or pasties. Very convenient. Didn't have to shave, shower, or brush teeth until after breakfast! Staff was accommodating and daily had a variety of cookies by front desk area. Easy walk to beach - virtually right across the street and there is a wood walkway that runs parallel to the ocean.

We stayed in the one bedroom suite as their was 5 of us. This worked out great for our family to all be together ion one place versus separate rooms. The fold out coach bed was a little uncomfortable, a mattress topper would have been helpful. Other than that, everything was great. This is a wonderful location to walk around, close to Hearst Castle and the Sea Lions Beach, walk to restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was good.

This was our first visit to the area for a trip to Hearst Castle. The Sea Otter Inn was great. We only stayed one night and wished we had stayed longer. There was a lot to explore in the Cambria area. The inn has an outstanding location if you are visiting Hearst Castle. We were able to walk to a couple of restaurants and ocean trails are just across from the inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the picnic basket filled with our breakfast. So glad we stayed at the Sea Otter Inn.
