We have recently retuned after going to Sea View to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Before our departure our booking company emailed the Sea View to check is everything was operational following the recent Hurricane. They were told there was no structural damage, therefore no building work would be taking place.
We arrived on Sunday 8th October. On Monday while we were relaxing by the pool that's when the almighty loud noise started with the workmen working their way down the building in a cradle.
I asked to see the Manager (after first being old the work was being carried out by the hotel next doo!) The Manger had almost no Customer Service, "what do you want me to do?" I explained that this was a very special holiday costing a lot of money and how disappointed we were to being subjected to this level of noise.
She said she would waiver the $20 for the use of the pool beds. I said is that it! She said she would go away and see what else she could do.
Despite asking several time to see her (she was never on site we were told) we never met with her again. I have since emailed but again no response.
On the plus side the hotel is in a beautiful location on the beach, but then again so are all the hotels in that area. And I don't think they would be as out-dated and have such a musty smell as the Sea View.
I feel very let down by the total lack of empathy and Customer Services which was shown to us.

Because of IRMA, few visitors were these days, but this hotel has a better stay.

Beautiful, if you plan for coming with family this is the place ,we've been coming to Miami for many years and usually we go to a friends house , this place is really nice and clean has everything you need to stay in and don't leave, the beach and pool are very good.
Very well recommended.

Room was very spacious and beautiful view (had sea view room). The hotel is very dated and it shows in the room. Balcony could use better cleaning.
Breakfast was pretty basic. Staff were just professional.
The best part of the hotel is the beach, just delicious!
Well located, near Bal Harbour shopping center and other nice shops.
Short car ride to Miami Beach.
Would go back to the are, not the hotel.

Travelled to Miami to celebrate my friend's 23rd birthday and enjoyed a great dinner only to return to the front desk agent, Enrique, who so rudely explained that four people were not allowed in a 2 queen bedroom. He said that we would have to pay an extra $100 per person, this would result in a $450 per night room charge for just a mediocre hotel. Not only was this ridiculous but his delivery was appalling. He specifically told my friend, who was celebrating her birthday, that "if you had a high school education, you would understand." I have never experienced such terrible customer service and I have been in the industry almost 10 years. There are plenty of other hotels in Bal Harbour/South Beach with much more to offer.
