Reaching the hotel is a bit difficult through a village road but however we were well guided by the manager Mr. Jitendra.
As all the 3 rooms were available, we chose the Black room.
The place is great for couples and group of friends as well. There is a bonfire place below accessible through stairs.
The Good:
The View! All rooms have huge window panels. The views of the mountains in the morning and evening is superb! As if being suspended in mid air.
The staff is helpful and attentive.
Food is awesome. Both dinner and breakfast we had there were homely cooked and delicious. The morning parathas were superb along with great tea.
The dining area has many board games and books to read. You can as well rest of the Sofa set and the mattresses near the book shelf.
TV worked well. There is a heater in the room as well, which gave us a cosy sleep at night.
Bathroom was clean with shower and geyser installed. Bed was comfortable.
The Bad:
- Nothing
Tip: If you are coming from Kathgodam, you would take the route from Bhowali.
If you are coming from Mukteshwar, you will take the route via Jhutia village. This road is not so good but will save good amount of time.
In either case, ask for Daak Bangla and contact the hotel before reaching.
Seclusion and Peace.

Short review: Truly lives up to its name. Secluded, peaceful and beautiful.
Pros- Wonderful location, great service and good food.
Cons- A bit difficult to reach.
Detailed review:
Location- Situated at one end of the little village of Ramgarh in Uttarakhand the property is situated at the end of a cliff. The location gives great views of the valley and the little River that runs through it. Truly puts you back in touch with nature.
The property- A small boutique hotel with just 4 rooms (they are building a few more rooms though). The place is built like a house with the bedrooms and a common area for sitting, dining and a small library corner. There is a outdoor firepit for sitting around a bonfire on cold nights. There is also lots of places to sit outside in the open with beautiful views of the mountains and the valley.
The place is a bit difficult to reach though. Involves a walk up and down roughly cut stairs. So those with mobility problems please call them up for details. Also the GPS location is not exact, so better to call for last mile directions.
The room- We stayed in the Black Room. The room was beautiful with one side completely of glass with wonderful views. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. The bed was just perfect for a great sleep after all the walking in the forests. Also the roof of the room is arched with a glass pane to watch the stars from the bed....really awesome.
The food- Tasty, filling, reasonably priced. And they make sure that it is as per your taste and liking. You just need to tell once and all requests are taken care of and remembered so you don't need to repeat them.
The service- Gentle, helpful people who serve you with big smiles all the time. Service may seem a bit slow to some but was not a problem for us. Actually the idea is to let go and go with the spirit of the place....relax and enjoy, let go of all hurries and worries....and everything seems perfect.
Things to do- Laze around, take walks, try bird watching. And if someone wants to move then there is Nainital for a day trip.
Loved the experience.
Would definitely stay again and would recommend the place.
Seclude Literally!!

We visited in May 2017, and it was a great time. The weather was windy and with sporadic rains, which made the stay memorable. It is a secluded spot, though civilization is nearby and locals are helpful. Take long treks, especially go to Talla Ramgarh from Seclude (1 hr downhill trek), walk in Talla and then comeback through car, if you don't want to strain too much. The rooms are cosy, though water & electricity can be an issue, as it is not a hotel. You will enjoy home cooked food. The hotel staff is good, in spurts only. Else they leave you alone and sometimes difficult to locate. They have a handy library & reading spot. Enjoy fruits like Khubani and Apricots.
Go to nearby Neemrana Bunglows for Lunch also. And take hikes to Malla Ramgarh or Ashok Vatika.
Overall a satisfying stay, could have been great, if the staff was more attentive. :)
Awesome stay at Seclude!

An amazing bungalow along the edge of the mountain, giving a magnificent view of the valley.
Seclude, true to its name, is a place where you can just relax, eat, sleep, read or just enjoy nature.. it s the perfect weekend getaway spot!
Would love to visit again!

A pretty, quaint and charming place located at far corner in Malla Ramgarh. Approx 1.5 hrs drive from Bhimtal, you will need directions from locals to find this place. So plan to drive and get in while there is daylight.
The property has a very rustic feeling, interiors are done in a very stylish way to give you a feeling of home. You will need to walk down a bit from the car parking. The last mile to the hotel is kuchcha road and my advise will be to park the car safely.. the ground becomes slushy if it rains. These are a part of your travel, so no big worries. The staff makes up for any shortcomings with their warmth and willingness to help.
We traveled in May and the trees were adorned with peaches, apricots, plums, and we were able to grab a few of them with help from staff. Wonderful experience.
The view from the rooms was exquisite.. mountains with dense forests as far as you can see. The sunset view was also amazing!! (somehow reminded me a touch of my vacation in Lonavala). Food was good. The bed was ok for a good sleep, but we faced issues with lots of bugs on the floor, ceilings, ... seemed like maintenance was lacking (maybe due to few members from staff team on leaves). Though we stayed for a single night, the overall experience was mixed.... go if you like solitude, good cozy place for the honeymooners though :-)
