We hired both the Green Suite and the Blue Suite for a week away with my parents (2 couples). These self catering, one bedroom bungalows worked well for all of us as we all had our privacy and independence but joined together for evening meals and socialising in one of the suites. The accommodation is on one floor. No accessibility aids or grab rails are in situ but we brought mobility aids with us (borrowed from the Red Cross) to enable my mother and father to take a holiday with our support. There is plenty of space for a small wheelchair, raised loo seat and shower seat. Suzie was helpful in sending me photos of the step into the accommodation and the shower prior to us making a booking. There is ample parking and a flat walk from the car to the patio doors.
The suites are supplied with everything you could need for a self catering holiday, along with clear instructions for all electrical items, which was really helpful. Wi-Fi was temperamental and I had to make calls from the garden. However, there is a landline in Suzie's health and massage room which Suzie kindly offered in case of emergency.
The accommodation was supplied with lovely organic products (shower gels, hand creams) and the cleaning products were eco friendly. A lovely bunch of sunflowers and pack of biscuits greeted our arrival and there was a pint of milk in the fridge.
Tourist information on the local area was emailed a few days before arrival and was available in the suite too. Games, books and DVDs were available for our use.
The garden stays sunny all evening and we moved the table from the patio to the top of the garden for our evening meals. There is a BBQ but we did not use it.
We stayed in the Blue Suite; the window in the bedroom is small and is close to a wall so it was rather dark in the there compared to the bedroom in the Green Suite, which my parents had, which had larger windows and a more open outlook to the side walkway. Apart from that they are identical. However, if you are in the Blue Suite you have to walk past the patio doors of the Green Suite to get to your car, which could be a privacy issue if you did not know the other residents!
Wells and Wookey Hole are a short drive away. You can visit Glastonbury and the Tor, Street for outlet shopping, Cheddar Gorge and Shepton Mallet easily.
We were Suzie's last visitors (she was moving on to new ventures) but I hope to be able to come to Seekings again sometime.
Thank you Suzie for accommodating us, we all benefitted from having a break together.

My girlfriend and I luckily found a suite available at Seekings for the Easter holiday break. Booking was simple, with good communication from the host, and directions provided for our drive from London. The host, Suzie, was very welcoming, and to our benefit, an excellent (and fully qualified) massage therapist - we both indulged and I would travel back just for the treatments!
The suite was a perfect size for the pair of us, and was the most well-equipped self-catering suite I have stayed at. Seekings is located in Yarley, a small hamlet just outside of Wells, and is well located for visiting the city, Cheddar, and Glastonbury, though our favourite small find was Cranmore Tower.
If I had anything bad to say it would be that WiFi was present but a bit slow - however this is being updated to a full speed line this year. And um... I couldn't find a garlic press for a recipe I was doing though I'm sure it was in those brimming cutlery drawers somewhere!
We would definitely stay at Seekings again, and recommend others to do so.

The Seekings is a nice quiet place to stay. Yarley is a small village, but very close to Wells and convenient for visiting Cheddar, the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury too. Owners are on site and friendly but not intrusive (lives in separate building). The accommodation is modern and eco-friendly, with under floor heating, but this is barely needed in October as the building is well insulated. All cleaning products used are environmentally friendly and the suites are very clean and modern with everything you could need and more inc. kitchen utensils, towels, dish washer, TV with built in DVD player and free wi-fi.
Have stayed here twice now and would recommend it to any couple.

Very friendly and professionally run self catering suite, a few miles outside Wells. There is a small-ish double bedroom, en-suite, and a lounge with a kitchenette. All very clean and nicely equipped (good furniture and quality appliances) with french windows facing out to a garden with a patio, BBQ and swing. Fine for a couple or a young family. Suzi (the owner) is very helpful and lent a travel cot upon request. The suite is available for I think 2 days or longer rental, which is convenient for short breaks. A simple cold breakfast is provided in the fridge each day for a small amount extra.
Quiet location away from the main road, but with a couple of pubs within a mile or so walk (The Pheasant was good). Lots of history, outdoor activities (walking, cycling) and cider drinking nearby!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in the Green Suite at The Seekings and had a wonderful time. This is an excellent holiday rental with every amenity you could possibly need for self catering. Suzie is a brilliant host and she has thought of everything, she has great attention for detail and nothing is too much trouble for her. The room is a very high standard and very clean. Suzie provides a lot of very useful information prior to your visit so you can plan your days out and places to eat. Mortimer, the family dog is very friendly and loves to play ball with you. The Seekings is ideally located as a base to visit the surrounding area. Highly recommended and would love to return one day.
