The Plaza Hotel is located about 3 KM north of Catania's centre. It works for both business and personal travel. Room options are largely 2 choices: 1) View of the sea, 2) View of Mt Etna. The sea view rooms also bring with them a lot of road noise, but also in the majority of cases a balcony. The hotel has a good breakfast buffet (included) and a number of conference rooms, as well as an upper floor area (in/out) that can be used for receptions. Rooms are fairly standard by European standards. Based upon our other vacations in Sicily this hotel is on the more expensive side, even when compared to similar hotels in major cities (Palermo, Syracusa, Agrigento).

Plaza Hotel is a wonderful hotel,near see border.Our room was at 1level,a nice terace 3/5m,big room,refrigerator,air conditioner,bath well equipped.Good breakfast,served at4th foor ,on a big terrace with a beautiful panorama to see.Hotel is situated at 30min walk to down town.Helpfull front desk,they organize our trip to Etna and Taormina.

Plaza hotel can delight you when making your reservation and see on the map as it is located on the seashore. Besides, the terrace where breakfast is served is very beautiful and the morning view is worth the discomfort caused by the noise from the other rooms. Yes, at this hotel you have the feeling that you are sitting in the room with your neighbors. It's almost all over the walls. That's why I rated it down. Otherwise, the location deserves more.
Tip: I do not recommend those who can not hear noises when they sleep. The hotel is located between two streets, and the sea street are noisy all the night.

The Plaza Hotel was for the most part a very nice Hotel. The people who worked the reception desk were simply outstanding and went over board to provide us with comfort and advice. The breakfast were outstanding and the people there were very welcoming and helpful. The location is great but not centrally located yet still very close to restaurants, shops, and other needed merchants. Our room could have been a bit more comfortable if the air conditioning had worked which is about the only negative we have to say but a fairly large one. Overall we loved the Hotel and its' people. We would highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel, from the minute we entered the doors we felt the warmth and helpfulness of the staff who provided us with maps and information and were there to answer any question.
. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea, the bathroom was amazing in size and well equipped. The hotel also included parking which is very important if you are with a car. The location of the hotel is excellent for day trips in the surrounding area and a short drive away from the city centre. The roof top dining room overlooking the sea served a very nice breakfast and was a perfect start to our day
