We had big expectations for this lodge, but were unfortunately disappointed in the service, quality of the food and the rooms. Views are stunning, but service was just not there, especially in the restaurant...buffet was out of food, kept having to track the server down for anything, and they were not busy. Rooms were a little old and small (we had a triple). Ask for an upstairs room for a better view.

We stayed in the Serena lodge for two days and is was spectacular!! The service and the accommodations are superb. The service is impeccable. The porters are very friendly and are there to make you utmost comfortable and relaxed. The wildlife experience were phenomenal as we saw all the big FIVE. And we saw the famed Migration of the Zebras and wildebeest which is one of the greatest attractions in the world I have ever seen!! The lodges are great and the rooms are on two floors.I would recommend a second floor for better views

Regarded as the eighth wonder of the world, experiencing the Serengeti is amazing. Experiencing the Serengeti in such luxury takes everything to a new level! Staff are friendly, rooms clean and comfortable, food fit for royalty. Needles to say the view, the animals, the atmosphere are more than one could ever imagine. The logistics of maintaining a high class lodge so far from civilisation must be appreciated. Kudos to the management!

In the middle of Serengeti park, this safari lodge is well placed to observe wild animals in the plains. The hut style rooms are large, comfortable with balcony overlooking the plains. Some animals graze near the rooms, so guards will accompany you when you leave the rooms.

We stayed 2 nights in May, family of 4 with adjoining rooms. The buildings have 3 rooms with 2 below and one above. The top room has the best view. If you are getting just one room, ask for an above room. The views from the pool area and decks are spectacular for sunsets. There are 4 Dikdiks that live next to the pool. We stayed in the first building next to the pool and you can see the animals below on the plains. Power goes out from time to time, so have a flash light handy. Food was fine, restaurant and public rooms seemed a little small but ok. Bird nest around the hotel are amazing. Staff are great, service is great. First night, my daughter said hot water wasn't working. Within minutes maintenance man came and check it out. Hot water was fine, in fact very hot. She just had it turned on wrong. Internet was fine. Everything was clean.
