What People are saying

Good club, good holidays.

JohnWalterScott on 02/10/2016 20:59

I spend one week very nice, with beautiful weather. I love so much the beach and the time spending there to relax with my kids...
I love the team of sport, and I meet lot of nice people there, specially the tennis teacher.
The tennis teacher is really professionnal !!!! I really enjoy my holidays to play few time with her, also my kids love her a lot ! Beautiful woman, very creative !!!!!! Thank you Lucy ! My kids love you !
Nice food also !!!
Also the gym teacher is great, thanks Nicolo !
My only negative point is the director (Julian Delfino) , a bit strange in his attitude, a bit dangerous even... scary this guy !
My kids was affraid of him... and I talk with other parents during the week, and he don't like kids at all... anyway... but it is a pity that some kids are afraid of him...

Vacation with big Opposites...

Recensie

As first you need to know, this Hotel it's made for Italian people. I was German Member of Slovak Travel Group. Guests at the Hotel were only Italian and Slovak. The Management try to invite international Guests.
For Slovak people Ultra All Inclusive ( UAI) was offered, powered by Koala Tours.
I can tell, that meals are great. Benefit of really Italian Hotel it's really Italian Kitchen. It was great. But also the breakfast was Italian...very sweet, a lot of cake...and Ham/Bacon and Eggs.
Lunch and dinner with a lot of different noodles, meat, salad...seafood. It was delicious. Fresh Fruits every meal, peach, Malone...etc.
Each guest receives a fixed place and opening time for eating is short. So all guests are in the restaurant at the same time. But replace and Service from meals are very fast. Only it's feeling like at a Anthill. Style of eating and dishes it's like holiday camp for teenager... Thumbler Glass for Wine and for Water. Each second guest has only 1 Glass for water and wine. Red and withe Wine from dispenser machine...quality...mmmhh, try it yourself. No any Table Cover, only paper for your Place. Water also from dispenser in Plastic Carafe.
The Hotel has a very nice clean beach. There are camping chairs and parasol. Except Line first and two (you have to pay!) the places are received for every guest. Ultra All Inclusive is NOT meaning, you can get line first or two. Camping bed it's also not include, if you like you have to pay.
The next problem of Ultra All Inclusive it's the Bar. There are offers of UAI, yes. But not at every Bar and not at every time. There it's very difficult System ( I've receive 3 Pages with rules!) for using that System Ultra All Inclusive. All what is inclusive UAI you are getting in homeopathic Dose...it means not more than 20cl for beer, wine, cola or juice, 10cl for alcohol. Coffee only American coffee...if you expect nice Italian coffee...you need to pay. No Cocktail, no any ice cream its inclusive UAI. The price list for Drinks you can find at the photos.
The staff it's only Italian spoken. English you must search for...very rarely. If they see your red belt for UAI at your Arm...then you need to wait. Preferred costumer are Italians, because they pay every Drink. Because of Language Problems order it's not easy and stuff are not really friendly. Don't expect any smile.
Some of the Bungalows in a very nice garden are near of the technical Area of the big Restaurant. Unfortunately we has one of this room's. The machine for cold store from the Restaurant has work 24 hours. Sitting at the terrace impossible. Even at night you have listen that noise with closed window. Staff and Management are not helpful to change the room. In fact, they hasn't any another chance...in other case ca. 10 Rooms are not possible to rent because of noises.
This hotel it's like a island. No any bus or train. Taxi must be organized by the Hotel, if you like to come back. Neared village La Castella need 25 Euro and back the same. Individual trips are not possible. Organized Trips from Agency are expensive. Ticket for 3 hours shopping Tour at La Castella pays 30 Euro for 2 people. At the hotel area are small shops, but if you need something from Market you need to go outside.
Towels for beach you can rent...10 Euro Deposit and 4,50 Euro/ 1 Pice. Every next change will ask for more 4,50 Euro. It's not include UAI.
The rooms are not exclusive but clean. The housekeeping is working good. Generally the complete area are very clean, service it's working all the day at public toilet. Except repair Service. The toilet at the beach was damaged for 3 days, then our vacation has ended.
The Animation only in Italian Language are available. No any greeting to guest from other country's or special program in English or Slovak. We felt like invisible at this hotel... That feeling comes because of a lot of topics what we spent... The Travel Service told, that the director likes Slovak people and because he invite them...unfortunately we felt nothing about...
In summary: If you like to eat really Italian Kitchen you are right here. If you have car, it's comfortable. As Member of Travel group you have very close action range. Don't expect comfortable and good Ultra All Inclusive. All it's prepared to enjoy it so uncomfortable as possible. For traveler with car it's good destination, because what you need to buy you can buy for good Price in the Supermarket. If you are only dependent from the Service of Hotel it's expensive.

Lovely family stay near beautiful seaside, however mainly for local people

Krisztina S on 09/08/2015 11:05

Location: seaside wise, best that could be near the warm, clean sea and sandy beach. However, limited only to the resort. Excursions and sightseeing available, but then think twice before you go with smaller kids in the hot weather...we didn't, so limited again. Basically, it's up to you. We were not so devastated about this, it was not such big issue. At the end of the day, people travel there because of the seaside.
Beach: coming to previous point, spotless location, with your own sunshades and chairs within the all inclusive. Mind the very hot sand during the hottest hours of the day, so footwear is necessary :) Disadvantage - the beach bar starts all inclusive at 12:30, when you already go for lunch and siesta :( non=logiocal to guests, but saving wise very smart to hotel management, I guess :)
Hotel: daily cleaning, overall tidy rooms, size wise just so-so for a family. We couldn't help though feeling the smell of must in the room all the time. However, after a few days you get used to it :)
Dining/restaurant: 8-9 people seated at a table, so usually 2 families. Non-alco beverages and coffee during breakfast, unlimited water and light red/white wine during lunch and dinner. Italian cuisine is one of our favorites, so no comments on the quality of that, just superb.
Animation: absolutely remarkable. Some people mention in the reviews that is Italian only - well, as to me these guys do their job so well that it doesn't matter :) First time in my life I saw a musical (! - Romeo and Juliet) in a summer resort, and that was absolutely cool. Children and adults equally enjoyed it. Roberta was my favourite, but people mostly like Nano - the entertainer from the evening shows. However, the whole team is very hard-working and cool guys. Big applause for them, they are a nice addition to the whole stay.
One big issue I would note for myself: DO NOT stay in unit 15 from the sport area side, if you can avoid it. Just in front of unit 15 balconies there's a small football stadium and Italian kids play footie there until 1-2 am in the morning few times per week, with reflectors on shining directly into the rooms!!! And reception will stop this activity only if you call them minimum 3 times... Therefore our sleep quality was very poor and I had to mention this i ni my review.
Still, whole stay always depends on your attitude. And with a positive one, you'll never regret any stay.

Good hotel for families with not sufficient all inclusive program

jana r on 30/12/2014 14:34

Location:
Nice location for families in quite/isolated area. It means that you can spend your time only in resort. No village or town, shops around.
For those who do not have car, they have to stay in resort all day and night long.

Beach:
Beautiful long white fine sand beach. Not swallowed water, children can go may be 2 meters in. And then it is deep for them.
Plus is that you can use sunshades with chairs within all inclusive.
Often there was a strong wind so you can await waves in sea.

Hotel:

Advantages:
Room safe/tresor - free of charge
Rooms were ok and daily cleaned.
Live music/singing - I liked animation guys who sang live near pool bar or at beach bar. Animation was good one but shame that no translation.
Tasty italian food - somebody does not like sweet breakfast..

Disadvantages:
Except reception only italian speaking staff/animation - disadvantage for non italian guests.
Beach towels not a part of all inclusive - you have to pay for rental and then for each new towel extra fee
Our ultra all inclusive was very light - having only water and wine free of charge; other beverages and coffees paid at lunch and dinner.
In bar - limited types of beverages in very small cups. We used our bottles to fill them with water during meals in order not to stall all day long waiting for in bar

Car rental: very expensive - 1 day with child seat cca 92euros.
For Non Italians - do not go without GPS navigation, you will get lost although you will have a map. I advise to take a trip to Tropea/ to other coast with travel agency.
We were not be the ones who got lost and spent almost the whole day in car.

But I love Italy, Italians and Calabria , I enjoyed my stay here despite of mentioned disadvantages.

Very bad service and mainly for domestic people - Serene Village resort

Lenka B on 28/07/2014 22:31

Italy surprised us very much :(
As foreigner in this Calabria's resort there is very low chance to speak to staff, animations for children also all ctivities are led by italian persons, accomodation very poor not in quality of 4 stars! Especially uncomfortable bed and also cleaning service. Food served in good-quality, but it is necessary to come very early, because later there are only left-outs. As ultra all-inclusive client you must pay for everything = water, coffee, towels for sea....
