We stayed here for a week and we were really pleased with the apartment. There was everything we needed here. It is not in central Porto but is so close to the Metro that it is no problem. We bought a 3 day ticket for €15 from the tourist office on the advice of reception. The staff were smiling and pleasant at all times. If we return to Porto it is where we will stay again.

We stayed for one week at the Boavista Palace apartments and would strongly recommend them as a great place to stay in Porto:for the following reasons;
1) The reception staff were without exception professional, friendly and very helpful..They speak good English and spent a lot of time explaining how the metro system works and places to visit in the area.
2) The apartments are spacious, clean, very well-equipped and attractively furnished.. They are bright and light with large patio windows opening onto balcolnies.
3) They are situated in a good location. The district of Boavista is attractive with excellent shopping centre, large food hall, cafes and restaurants. The metro is very close with a direct link to the airport and the town centre and there are several bus routes to the same locations. One tip on using the metro - if you are unsure about what tickets to buy etc walk to the Casa de Musica station about 10 minutes walk from the apartments and buy the tickets in the informatio office there.
4) The apartments are great value for money especially if you stay for a week or more.

Absolutely beautiful apartment and great service. Arrived with a bottle of water in the apartment which was gratefully received. Very clean and modern with a fully equipped kitchen, iron and washing machine which was very handy. Lots of space for two people, we felt right at home. Towels were only changed twice within the week which was the only downside as we showered twice a day. The reception was very helpful and gave us helpful advice when we asked.
The apartment was easy to find and the metro station is literally around the corner. All of the lines go through this stop so you can go anywhere within minutes.
Would have preferred it to be closer to the town but it was really quiet and close to a supermarket, a few cafes and a sushi restaurant right next door. Bom successo market is up the road which houses loads of little eateries and a short walk to the crystal palace gardens which have a beautiful view of the city and the 'Porto' sign. Did not feel unsafe at all considering we were quite far out.
Porto was an amazing place and the people are lovely. Top tips: buy a tram ticket - we bought tickets per trip and not per day (trips are referred to as 'titles' on the machine) as we would get a taxi home. We would then just top this up. Also there is a list of places on the machine which shows you how many zones you would need to purchase.
The monastery is closed on a Monday! Igreja de soa Francisco was beautiful. Bachus vinni for wine tasting and ramos pinto has a great port tasting and tour. Only a 20 min tram ride to the beach using the blue line or the buses are quite easy to use at only €2 each. Allianos is a good place for drinking and sampling nice gins.
Great place but it's a bit out of town

The apartments are fantastic, well equipped, modern and clean. Ours had a balcony but with no real view. It's about 5 mins walk to the Metro so easy to access from the airport or in to town. Otherwise it's a 20 minute walk.
Positives for Porto
Friendly people.
Feels safe, even in the outskirts of the Apartments, late at night.
Nice climate with a refreshing sea breeze
Pretty good value
Plenty of places to eat and drink
Plenty of things to do
Easy city to walk around, but hilly near the river
Negatives for Porto
Shame that graffiti tags have spoilt many elements of the city
Some areas are clearly run-down
Metro tickets are stupidly complicated to buy on first useage
Cobbled streets makes walking in high heels a risky business
