This was my first time staying at the Taipei Shangri-La and it was an excellent experience from the moment I walked into the hotel to the moment I left. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was perfect in all aspects. I dined at the lobby lounge, 6th floor cafe and the MP lounge, all of which were excellent in food quality and service.
Overall I had a great time during my stay and would return there when the opportunity presents itself.

It been 7 years I last visit this hotel..
It's still the same not much change the service is good room is good..
Jus that they didn't any renovation upgrade..
Must do some upgrade..
All rooms are great.. Last time I stay is the upgrade room very big now is the same..

Overall nice as room n gym Are spacious, enjoyed the advanced yoga class 3-4pm too. Concierge staff was helpful in giving directions.
Some areas for improvement:
- not allowed to switch cafe bfast to in-room dining sets (unable to make it for cafe bfast due to overnight shifts), Jamie Yen as the director of biz ops should lead by example and go the extra mile to accomodate to guests requests, rather than blindly going by the rules! Very inflexible unlike HK shangri la whereby we were allowed to change (subjected to max cost for the in room sets).
- already informed counter n via service ctr I do NOT need housekeeping for my entire stay, however still receive the note at my door step the next day to say they were unable to Clean my room
- front desk do not provide face mask which is quite a basic thing to standby for guests
- also I requested for loccitane toiletries but were not given, said only for horizon guests, again this is very inflexible, poor customer service & very discriminative!
Hope these can be improved for my nx stay in dec txs

Hotel feels a bit old but still in a good shape. A little renovation would make a perfect hotel.
Room kind of small but comfortable and somewhat well decorated. Comfy bed and very good wi-fi signal.
Plenty of choices for the breakfast buffet.

Our five night stay at this hotel was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. The staff were extremely helpful and gracious (particularly the night manager David Yang) and our room was large, comfortable and beautifully appointed. We upgraded in order to have access to the Horizon lounge which had excellent food both at breakfast and with evening cocktails. It was well worth the reasonable upgrade charge. We had dinner three nights in a row at the Shang Palace. The food and service were exceptional.
