Great accommodation with ample rooms and great service. Big buffet for western breakfast and private rooms for a business meeting enjoying great Asian food and excellent wines. It has fitness room and nice 2nd floor pool table bar with area for cigar fans.

I have just been here on September. Hospitable and enthusiastic staff made such a good impression on me. They were eager to answer all of my question and wiliing to support the customer. I has satisfied with the room- tidy and clean, wide space for two person. Sheraton's breakfirst quality is quite good, you will have a lot of choice for your breakfirst. Finally the next time going on business on Changzhou I will stay in Sheraton.

as a pre-registered participant of an event I expected to get my room key immediately on arrival. However I was told to "sit down and wait". since I am not a waiter I did not accept to wait and "suddenly" I got my key-card. At my room the first unpleasant surprise was the insufficient illumination. The corridors too had just a "war-time emercency" lighting. Then I realized that the mini-bar was locked, third was that there was only ONE electrical socket near the desk. As a business treaveller I need at least two or three sockets.. The (central) airconditioning also had problems to cool the room below 25 °C.
The breakfast buffet offered a lot of variety but it was not replenished after 10am. At 10:25am the guest were informed that the buffet will close in 5 minutes, which was done precisely. At least on weekends I expect a bit more flexibility about timings. Luckily I did not pay for my stay, otherwise my rating would have been worse.
The personnel is friendly but stubborn and unflexible, probably "communist residue".

The Hotel is for SPG standards ok. It has only 8 levels, which makes life easier. The rooms are big and comfortable. The receptionists are kind and helpful. The fitness center is not big, but has everything you need to make some sports. The breakfast in the Club Lounge was ok and nicely quite.
Outside the Hotel you have a lot of green trees. But it makes it difficult to move without taxi. So a fast shopping around the corner will be difficult.
For fans of a walk in the park it is the perfect spot.

Frequent China travellers are familiar with the admonition that while all the hardware in China looks great, the software needed to run it (usually the systems, habits, and people) still require a lot of work. In the last couple of years, the gap between the stunning world class hardware and poor third world software has closed. For major cities like Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing, that gap is no worse than it would be in, say, Chicago or Amsterdam. Unfortunately, third and fourth line cities like Changzhou still have a long way to go.
Set out of the old city center, the hotel is beautifully constructed in a new municipal district. Only a few years old, it has the quirks one expects to see in rural China---as people who have never been abroad attempt to channel the needs of their non-Chinese guests. There is the usual Chingrish. The convenience shop is located, for example, in what can only be described as a Christmas elf hut complete with white fencing and a fairy tale cottage door. There are large areas of the hotel that may or may not be open. And the selection of stores is...eclectic.
The rooms are roomy and most come with balconies. But the shower doors leak. And the temperature controls in the rooms don't work. They only pump out heat and I had to sleep with the balcony door open. And, as with similar hotels, the furniture is sub-optimal---looking good, but not particularly comfortable.
The breakfast is plentiful, if unsophisticated. The coffee is awful even though it comes out of an automated coffee machine. And don't count on anyone speaking fluent english.
But it's inexpensive and well located. Give it a few years. They are trying to get better. In a few years, who knows?
