My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights last week. It's in a great location with the pier a block away and a ten minute walk to the Alcatraz meeting point. We also walked into the city which took about 25 minutes and we didn't have hills. There is also a IHOP right across the road and a shopping centre at the back of the hotel. Very convenient. There was a lot of crazys out and about but this hotel is safe. The hotel is in a great spot.
The staff on check in were lovely. Very friendly and helpful with questions we had or advice as it was our first time to San Fran. The room service staff were lovely and polite too. The room was nicely modern and clean and fresh and we had a view out to the pier from our window. Our room was serviced daily and water was left for us. Very nice.
The internet speed was great, very happy with this as we liked to FaceTime our families back home and we just came from a hotel where the internet was terrible and we were relieved to see them after not being able to contact them for a few days. Thank you! The terrace outside was great to wind down in at the end of our day. Loved the fairy lights.
The beds! On the last day my friend and I were leaving to go home to Australia. I turned to her and said you know what, usually when I return from being away, one of the positives to the holiday being over is I get my own bed. Could not even say that here as the mattress and pillows were perfect and I had a great sleep every single night. So I actually miss that bed instead, ha!
Was very happy in our choice of hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or stay again, my next trip to the USA is in the works already and this hotel is the top of my list. Makes me consider other hotels in the chain for other places too.

A sign in the lobby touts that this hotel is going to be totally remodeled in the near future. I’m afraid that this means that they haven’t been putting much money into upkeep and the property is showing it. The upholstery on the furniture in the lobby is a little stained Overall, it’s just a little “beat up.” It is, however in a great location just a block or two from Fisherman’s Wharf and the price was right. We stayed there for three days and it served our basic purposes just fine. The had great Starbuck’s coffee in the room and the coffee setup made it good and strong. In our room, the safe was set sideways in the closet and the only way to get at it was to turn on your cell phone flashlight and snake around the closet doors and do it from the side. The bed and pillows were very nice. All in all, for the price it was fine.

This hotel has a great location, but the rooms need some updating. It's not to the normal level of what you would expect from a Sheraton. We were only staying one night, and location trumped luxury, so we choose here.

Not much to say, other than the fact that hotel just isn't up to par with the Sheraton brand. Stayed on the highest floor (4) and could hear everything happening outside, from the delivery crews at 5a, to the trash guys to just random traffic. The walls are paper thin, to the point where you wonder if others are in your room. I could hear the conversation next door perfectly whilst lying in my bed and could hear the baby 2 doors down when they were crying at 3am. The platinum lounge is a tiny room with trail mix and coffee. I won't be staying here again.

Having stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past we elected to stop in for a glass of wine while visiting the wharf prior to embarking on our cruise ship later that evening. It was pleasant sitting with a glass of wine in their lobby, although you do have the option of sitting outside around one of their wonderful fireplaces. It says a lot when we remember the comfort of this hotel and made it a point to stop in again even if we were not staying at the hotel.
