Arrived on a Sunday for a one night stay. Once our room was ready we were told that they upgraded us to a deluxe 2 queen bed room. This was not what we would
have considered an upgrade. Our room was clean but Furniture was old and worn, the beds were squeaky, no updated phone charge station ( you needed a regular plug). Some of the
furniture in various sitting areas scattered around the lobby and conference room areas were torn.
It is within walking distance to the harbor, aquarium and shops. Hotel just needs a total update. We’ve stayed at nicer hotels right along the Rte. 95 corridor.

Great walkway access to the conference center. Spacious King room, nice view, dirty duvet (it was changed), under the clean pillowcase-pillows yellowed w/age & stains (didn't use), mattress bumpy, tub clogged (it was fixed). With the exception of two front desk staff, the staff was great, especially the doorman, Robert E. Brown, who assisted with hailing Lyft drivers, restaurant suggestions, directions, etc.

It all started when I arrived and the credit card machine was broken and they had lost my reservation. After a 20 minute wait to check-in because they had lost everyone's reservation and the credit card machine was broken for everyone, I got to my room. The hallway had smelled like very strong smoke, and so I was worried my room would too, but it was fine. The room was incredibly dated, with broken pieces on the walls everywhere. The shower had no water pressure. Most of the plugs didn't work. I figure out how to fix one, by plugging back in an adapter on the wall. When I did that, the coffee machine started sputtering, and pumping out hot water. So, that made a mess, and is gross -- one thing you always do is empty the water from the coffee machine. I don't like to think about it, but… uh, it might not be water. Anyway, I checked out two days later. I checked my bill later that evening on the web site so I could submit it for reimbursement, and it said I was still checked in. I called, and they had my reservation for another whole day. They also charged me for Internet despite me explicitly asking and them saying it was included. They fixed these things, but just one more hassle.
This would be a fine hotel if it was like a Motel 6. It's not, and it's not as cheap as a Motel 6 either. For a Sheraton, it's really bad. People seem nice, hard to tell why nothing is working, although I would blame the management.

I stayed at this hotel recently for a conference. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and my room was spacious and clean and quiet. On the con side, it feels like nobody has updated this hotel in years. The food (restaurant, Sheraton club, catering for conference vents) was uniformly terrible, the wifi was flaky, A/V support in the conference rooms was very poor. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here or to host an event here.

The downtown area had a large power outage the morning of our arrival, it was repaired prior to our check-in, but, not everything was back up; to include a/c and credit card machine. No fault of the hotels, BUT, that meant we had to pay cash. Which meant we had to find an ATM, and return. It would have been nice if the Manager had greeted guests to let us know BEFORE standing in line to check-in. Instead he was no where to be found, and from the front desk staff's input, this is the norm for him. It will be the Hyatt for us next year.
