Very odd hotel
Caliban555on 15/06/2017 05:16Not sure how this is a Sheraton. Check-in had no line but took nearly 20 minutes to complete. After arriving in our room, tried to call down to schedule car service for the following morning but neither the Expediation or Fron Desk phones were being answered after 20+ plus rings so had to dress and go down to find the concierge. Room service arrived OK but forgot the check and said they would be back in 20 minutes. Over 3 hours later, they call after 23:00 and said they needed to have us sign the check. We told the manager we were asleep and would not answer the door. And the powers went out for an hour, apparently just in our room, which required another trip downstairs since no one answers their phone. Not sure why they have phones in the room if their staff never answers them.

922kudanon 09/06/2017 17:56Didnt stay here but however i had lunch here while visiting friends who were staying in this hotel. Excellent service and a delicious buffet too. I would gladly eat here again. Keep up the service.
The building itself is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained.

Ann Won 01/06/2017 11:32The transport arrangements to collect passages from the blue train was chaotic with not knowing where our baggage was. Once at the hotel had to wait a while to check in and our baggage was somewhat held back. The rooms were big and spacious very comfortable bed with lovely crisp cotton sheets. We enjoyed our meal in the evening with the staff being very attentive. The breakfast ok but staff slow and even though we we were asked by different staff what drinks we would like none came helped ourselves in the end. Due to an incident on the motor way our driver had to come earlier to take us to the airport the staff knew this but didn't go out of the way to help. Also my husband told the front of hotel staff that the driver could load up our baggage but they refused costing us time.

Very friendly staff on checking in with a wonderfully energetic PR staff member making sure everyone was being looked after.
Likewise, the Concierge desk both the evening we arrived & the morning we left, being very helpful and friendly
Unfortunately the same level of staff efficiency and overall experience didn't extend to the bar nor the downstairs Restuarant. Service in the non buffet was extraordinary slow and steaks ordered medium rare came medium
Breakfast service was virtually non existent despite plenty of staff and it was necessary to ask for coffee (more than once) for used plates to be cleared - rather disappointing as breakfast was OK
It wouldn't take much to remedy these issues
Room was large & spacious with a very comfortable bed

Rainbowbeliefson 20/05/2017 21:32We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to catching The Blue Train.
The staff were wonderful. However the hotel is well in need of a renovation. The curtains were too long and they needed a wash. There were rust stains in the shower and we had no hot water for a shower. We did ask for it to be fixed and for about 3 mins we were able to enjoy a luke warm shower.
The food in the restaurant was nice as was the room service.
Overall, it just needs updating and a good clean.
