Here on business for 3 nights, Tues to Fri. Stayed in room 1715, which is long walk from the lobby check-in or even the elevators to the restaurants. The room has a musty smell. The lighting is either too much or too little, depending on which switches you select. The shower door leaks water out to the bathroom floor. The hair dryer plug does not stay in the outlet during use. One of the nights of my stay, I arrived back to my room when it was dark out, and I had to use my cell flashlight to light my way back to my room, bc the hallway lights were not on. I had a room with a balcony, and unfortunately they play loud music outside from somewhere - loud enough to hear in my room at night.
Ate at the Italian restaurant one night with 3 other coworkers. The place is GIGANTIC. We were the only ones there, and our food took a very long time to arrive. Food was ok. The Feast restaurant (buffet restaurant) is just ok.
Because it's an open air resort, the marble and tile walkways become very slippery from the humidity and rain. Overall, It's just a ridiculously massive property that at one time was probably amazing, but it's now just run down (lots of leaking ceilings - it rained a few times during my stay) and kinda creepy, due to the lack of visitors during my stay.

The hotel is situated in a fantastic lake, surronded by beautiful houses and gardens. The arabic arquitecture is remarkable and the rooms are outstading.
Restaurants have a great variaty of food and drinks. There´s a beautiful gigant fountain show in the night. The ambiance is elegant but relaxing.
Great place for events and meetings.

Stayed only a night as this was one of the stops on a tour that we joined which was a great pity as the place is massive and there is a lot to explore. Small gym that is well maintained compared to some of the other hotels we stayed at. There is a separate building housing the gym, swimming pool etc but we did not have the time to use it.
Good that they had drinks available near check in area and a small area for you to sit. We had the buffet dinner and was treated to dancing and singing waiters, waitresses and chefs - they all looked like they enjoyed themselves and it was different from most restaurants that provide no entertainment at all. Oh yes and there was free flowing beer.
Rooms are large but it is unfortunate that they chose a beige fabric so that if there is a stain, it is easily seen. Definitely this could be improved but in general the room was clean especially the bath.
It was definite worthwhile stay for us.

The least you can't say is that this resort has no space to wander around. This is a huge hotel where everything is big: reception, hallways, bars, garden....Not too many people around however leaving a somewhat abanded impression. The brand new hotel manager promptly offered me a suite after a small defect in my room, complementaire fresh fruit on top. Thank you, Aaron, you'll make a great general manager. Excellent meeting facilities with great support from Ms Lishi always immediately responding to our requests. We had an excellent company workshop in Qingyuan thanks to the support of the friendly staff.

I celebrated Christmas Eve 2015 at this hotel and invited four family members to join. Being a LifeTime Platinum member with Starwood, I always get exceptionally good service at their properties, and this was no exception. The dinner performances were great, as was the large variety of foods.
