While attending the Young Living International Grand Convention, the Sheraton staff was gracious and accommodating. When the restaurant was packed during breakfast, other staff members stepped in to help the one server who was doing a great job!
The beds are comfy and the bathroom is spacious with a extra large tub.

Stayed for 3 nights prior to heading to Yellowstone. Large clean rooms with good housekeeping. Used to hotel shuttle to and from the airport, efficient and friendly service. Small sunny pool area. Good wifi. About 5 minutes walk to the TRAX stop or around 15 minutes walk to Temple Square. Would happily stay there again.

Warning - Renovation in progress! We found it difficult to get around all the taped off areas of the hotel. Some the elevators were blocked. Also they have two separate key cards, one for the elevator and one for the room. The elevator confused everyone the first few days. At first they only gave us one card for the elevator and two for the room. Kind of misses the point! The room was nice, but being at the end of the hall, the layout of the bathroom and closet was a bit hard to get in and out. Location is pretty good, a block to the Trax to get to downtown. Lots of free parking. There is a Starbucks in the Lobby.

This was excellent hotel. I'd stayed at too many budget hotels, but this part of the trip, so this was a welcomed stop! Everything about the place just screams "big". The place is very spacious, very busy, very warm and a cozy place. The lobby has a fireplace we conversed around a lot, I loved it! Many elevators to get people up to the floors, and secure in the sense that you need a card key to get up to the floors. You might argue that's senseless and it annoys you to have to use a cardkey to navigate, but I'll explain later why it's not. Speaking of security, they have a safe in the room and that put me at ease quite a bit, even that was huge. I could put my camera gear and laptop in there with no problems. The rooms are spacious, very clean, clean carpet smells and no odors from previous guests. Bathroom is also very huge. You get a huge, big screen TV in the room and you can hook up devices to it and watch directly if you don’t want to pay for fast internet.
The included internet is 5mb. You can do plenty with that speed, and was a major step up from other places I went to.
You can’t really have liquor or coffee in these parts, due to Mormon culture, but there is an official state-run store that sells liquor, nearby, so make sure the hit that place up for those special needs. It's called "State Liquor Store Salt Lake" and it's right around the corner from the hotel.
Bed was excellent, nice and firm, but I did not like the pillows because they were too soft for my neck and gave me pains from my neck bending too much. So I tossed them. I had absolutely no sleep problems in this place. Very quiet.
Now, you should know that the area was experiencing a big population of homeless people, when I was there. I went out to eat breakfast at 7am and there were so many homeless people all over the place, it was pretty sad. If you're afraid of such people, then you'll understand why you have the security you do, in the hotel, and maybe you should keep your eyes peeled. They pretty much didn't bother me for anything, nor asked for anything, but I can see soft people becoming afraid of them, very easily.

My wife and I are SPG members and enjoy staying with there hotels. We were given a nice room 1008 on the Club floor and had the benefits of the Club Room. The bedding, linens and towels in Sheratons are always excellent and this was great here. The front desk people are all very nice and Mackenzie Roberts was especially nice. As for the area we didn't find it to be to bad since we walked almost everywhere and I'm not sure room service in any hotel is great, but the food on the Club floor was good.
