The Hotel is a rather large hotel located directly at the Ocean which is used regularly for conventions. With Sheraton you would expect a certain standard and the expectations were fully met. The staff was very professional and friendly and everything was very smooth.
Taxis are always "standing-by" in the front of the Hotel so to get anywhere was no problem. Since it was a short business-trip I did not have any time to explore much.
However, I would like to complement the staff in the Lounge they were very helpful and professional.
If my travels brings me back to this area, I would be certainly staying at this Resort again.

This is a wonderful hotel right on the ocean. The room was fabulous. A great view of the ocean, a wonderful luxurious layout, and very comfortable. Check in and out as superb. The breakfast buffet is just dynamite. I was here on business, and I would highly consider comping back for a week away with the wife.

The hotel is located far from the downtown and the airport and it is supposed to be a resort; although there is no outdoor pool or quick access to the beach (at least for the period I visited). Rooms are nice, although I had a problem with the drainage system in my shower, which was fixed. There were some dining deals in the room's folder, for which the staff at the restaurant and the lounge had no idea (buffet dinner and afternoon tea). I had to show a photo of these deals I took to the staff so they can ask their supervisors. Staff needs more training in handling guests and need to be more friendly somewhat. Tim Wang at the reception had to intervene in my case. After that my check in was smooth. The hotel is huge and one of the main problem for me was that the music they play in the lobby and throughout the hotel is too high and if you are staying close to the elevators, it can be bothering.

Neither good nor bad. Pretty good value given Seaview suite was only $850 RMB all in. One exceptionally nice touch is the French press in the room coupled with decent coffee ... nice way to start the morning. Really beautiful beach views and a very comfy bed. Rooms quite dated. The tile floor in the shower was actually broken with 3 rather large tiles just tossed in the corner. Both shower heads were gunked up and sprayed every which way. Carpet was worn but not dirty. Breakfast in lounge was decent, but the "International Cheese Selection" had 3 pieces of cheese, all one type, and this was just after they opened, so they weren't just out. Check out in the lounge was also a bit odd as they did not have an English speaker. I tried to explain that I had a beer and chips in the room, but couldn't make the connection with my sorry Chinese ... we'll see if it shows up on bill later.
All in all, a good nights sleep at a beautiful if rather worn out hotel. Sheraton should put a few $s into the place, it must have been grand in its day.

Nice hotel with good view and amenities, wifi is one of the best I have used in China, you can get sites here, like google, and Netflix that you can not always get other places. Right along the sea, with a terrific view and easy access. People are friendly and the English is good. Plan to see again someday.
