Accessible room with no accessible shower or bathseat
ravejj5on 19/11/2017 23:04When booking the motel, we asked for a bath seat for my son who is in a wheelchair. They quickly advised they had an accessible room available and although a bit more money, we booked it. When checking in, we noticed there was no bath seat for the shower/tub. We went to the front desk to ask, and were told there was none at the hotel. We asked if there was anything else we could use, and basically the young man just said no. So, we had to use a table chair for the shower. We would have booked elsewhere or brought a seat if we knew the accessible room was not actually accessible. When advertising accessibility, it means more than having a grab bar and lowering the peep hole in the door. I think this motel should either invest in a bathseat or stop promoting an accessible room.
Really doesnt deserve the low rating compared to some of the older (moldier) chain hotels
Wade1958on 14/11/2017 05:38It is what it is...a clean budget hotel with a variety of room options. Located within walking distance of airport (and very little else). Lots of parking, minimal road noise especially in the back unit where the office is located. Rooms were comfortable if sparsely furnished and fitted. Television was a small flat screen that worked well. Nice touch is a bar fridge so you can store snacks, have stayed here three times and likely will again.
Horrifying... You've been warned
Kaitlyn Hon 11/10/2017 23:44Stayed here for a music festival because it was the only thing not $300 a night. Showed up and the place looks like it should be rented by the hour. Tips: don't look under the bed, don't open the sofa bed (if u do, prepare to witness a rat chewed DIRTY BROWN mattress and rat faeces smeared every wheres), don't use the fridge (unless you wanna risk getting some type of disease and last but not least... sleep standing up. Well at least there were no bugs seen in our room. When we discovered the rat chewed, dirty brown(which was originally white) mattress, we went to the front desk to explain and the answer was "okay so do u want a sheet to put over it?" absolutely horrifyingly disgusting. This was the dirtiest place I've ever seen in my life, DO NOT STAY HERE. Staff is clearly family and hardly speaks english. They could care less if you have a complaint. Oh yeah and when we arrived our toilet broke so we had to use the gas station bathroom for three days. Quality stuff right here. If you stay here I recommend purchasing a hazmat suit. You've been warned. 10/10 would not recommend
Okay
wennie08on 09/10/2017 20:44We stayed here in September for 1 night. When I booked the room we were supposed to have a queen bed with a kitchenette, however when we checked in it was a double bed, no kitchenette and no air conditioner. Only a floor fan in the corner. The room was clean and if it would of been any hotter I would of went and asked for the room we were suppose to have, however It was just for the night so we made do.
clean but no frills
Skytameron 18/09/2017 11:40There is no one on duty from 10am until 7am. If you arrive after 10 pm they leave your room unlocked. The property is run by a Chinese couple that speaks marginal English, very difficult to communicate about bills. The breakfast although hot does not open until 7:30, tough to geta cup of coffee and get on the road when breakfast opens so late. The rooms aremissing basic items like aclock and a place to plug anything in. I was in room 5 and the refrigerator seems to constantly defrosting itself making the sound of dripping water. I unplugged the refrigerator to get some sleep. There are no outlets in the bathroom, no hairdryers and soam looks like collected from a veriety of different sources. The wifi is good the rooms are cleana nd the price is reasonable for Challotetown.
