Good service negates small glitches in the property

The property is at a convenient location; however on a peaceful road and hence gives you the feeling of calm. Well maintained gardens, large lobby, clean swimming pool area are the highlights of the property. We had a smooth check-in experience and the staff was cordial. The room had a nice view of huge green lawn.
There were some issues like not so well maintained corridors with seepage stains, small issues with washroom flush, issues with intercom; however the staff was always ready to help and never faced any issue regarding the service. The staff helped us solve many of the problems we faced.
The food was above average. Though the menu didn't change much, the restaurant staff happily prepared some different dishes on request. They were also helpful with our requests regarding meals of our one year old son.
Overall, we were happy with our stay. The issues we faced were small and the staff made sure that we don't have any chance to complain about those issues.
Hotel Shree Ram International, 19 May'17

19 May, 2017.
This is a slightly atypical review of a hotel.
I was on an official trip to Jodhpur, for which my hosts had
narrowed down our choices of the stay to two hotels, Hotel Shree Ram
International, and Hotel Indana Palace. Both are relatively close
to the airport, and while the former is more centrally located
(on the main arterial road in the city, Residency Road), the
latter is a bit far away, from the city centre. I had earlier
experienced the impressive Hotel Shree Ram International for a
December 2013 visit for a conference, Hotel Indana Palace was
relatively unknown for me. While our hosts finally narrowed down their choice
to the latter, I ensured that I would at least pay a visit to
this impressive hotel (where pure vegetarian food is served,
unlike Hotel Indana Palace!) at least once, to rekindle old
memories, if not anything else. When my hosts wanted to take me
out for dinner on my arrival into the city, I suggested Hotel
Shree Ram International. On my arrival there, I noted that not
much has changed, and that the hotel still retains its neat and
clean look, and uncomplicated charm. The exposed brick structure
has two floors, and lawns around. With much excitement, I noted
that one of the striking features of the hotel is still around: a
toadstool/mushroom-shaped fountain, in the inner quarters (the
hotel is organised around a pool), which is often a hit with the kids.
When we reached the property in the evening, the fountains in
front of the hotel were on, and in the lights, the arrangement
looked very nice, indeed. The patio has marble slabs, in various
hues of yellow, white and dark stripes. The exposed brick wall
has the insignia of the hotel, and `Shree Ram International'
written in metallic letters. The interior has the two floors on
entering, and gives an incredible feeling of space, in the main
balcony, more like a traditional haveli, or a palatial house,
than a hotel. The place is neat and clean, well-lit, and adorned
with some interesting lighting, and antique traditional
furniture, and furnishings on the walls. The floor itself has
patterned slabs of the green Udaipur marble, yellow marble, and
patterned areas of white and black marble. The main reception
area is to the right, on entering the place. The hotel has an
impressive large modular conference facility on the top floor, on
the right hand side wing, where the conference I had attended in
December 2013, had been held. There are nice traditional paintings
all around. We headed towards the main restaurant in the hotel
on the ground floor, `Padharosa' (literally meaning a welcome).
One of the main identifying features of the restaurant is a
shallow area in the centre, for a cosier and more regal experience.
We chose a corner table, from where my host's younger son could
have a view of the mushroom-shaped fountain (and not run around
as much as he would have liked to), The plates were simple, yet
elegant. A party was going on in the main lawns, so the head
waiter apologised in advance, if the service would take a bit long.
We were in no particular hurry, and in the end, everything came
in well on time, as we had also enquired about what would be made
avaialble relatively quickly. My host's wife does not like onion
and garlic in her food: we ordered a paneer-based dish (to keep
my hosts' elder son happy: he loves paneer!), a sangri (desert
beans)-based one (which my host loves...so do I!), and a mixed
vegetable dish done in the Jain style (without onions and garlic).
The food was extremely tasty, and portions, good enough. We
downed this with fresh lime soda, and had tandoori rotis.
No dessert! We were quite full.
its not a 4 star property
venky_1968 on 20/09/2017 08:27
stayed there for 2 nights, understandably a 4 start property but nowhere near 2 star
the checkin was smooth since it was prepaid the hotel is huge and sprawling property but the up keep is in complete disarray, the room furtnitures are date and the bathroom are unkempt the bathroom doors dont shut from the inside, swimming pool is ok
the restaurant has got nothing to write about, with minimal spread and ok food
not recomended
Saying it bad experience would be an under statement

I stayed at this hotel with my family with high expectation but we got disappointed multiple times.
POOR SERVICE AT THE RESTAURANT
we just ordered a pav bhaji at the restaurant padharo ( in house) and it took 45 minutes to serve it which turned out be cold.
REFILLING OF USED BOTTLES
this was the worst part, they refill and serve used packaged drinking bottles. On raising the issue that the bottles should not be reused as the practice is not healthy, the staff gave us the utter nonsensical and ignorant explaination that they clean the bottles before refilling it.
NO EXCLUSIVITY TO THE POOL
You could find, a private event being organised near the pool in which outsiders were swimming in undergarments.
BREAKFAST
Below average.
It's just an ordinary hotel, with extra ordinary tariff and unsatisfactory service.
Excellent Property

I stayed here for a night with my family. The property is spread in a huge area. Fortunately I got a pool view room from where you can see the beauty of property. Variety of foods in veg because they don't serve non veg. I love to visit again & will recommend my friends & family members to this property.
Thank you so much to the management for taking care of their valuable clients. Thank you.
