The staff are so friendly and helpful in assisting. The room was so cozy, big and beautifully designed. The paintings around the different floors of the building are so lovely. This guesthouse has such a home away from home feel as the staff are so helpful. The location is great as you really feel like you are getting an authentic Jodhpur experience living locally and walking distance to the center and markets. The view from the upstairs terrace of the Fort and temples is so impressive and breathtaking. The restaurant at the rooftop is also excellent. A great stay.

Shyam palace guest house and their family are so nice. The rooms are clean and very well decorated, with all the paintings in the walls. It has a cozy chill out and during summer the cold wind flows, something that you'll really appreciate. The food there is very cheap and good. We were 3 girls, the other 2 felt very sick during that days and the owner was very nice taking care of them. The only cons are that light comes and goes (and so wifi connection) at any time and that inside the rooms the temperature is very hot. There is AC but you have to pay it seperatly.

Hi everyone. I have stayed here on 25 January to 26 January 2015 with my friends.
This guest house is near railway station , clock tower , main market and Mehrangarh fort. You can have view of Mehrangarh fort from the roof top. It has a roof top restaurant.
Main market is walking distance from here where you can enjoy your breakfast with kachori , doodh jalebhi and other local food.
Anyone can take an auto from main market, to visit Jaswant Thada.
This guest house has limited rooms and size of rooms are also small. As it is a national tourist destination, you can find foreigners here. I am recommending to book this guest house and giving a 3 out of 5 due to small size of this property.
If you are getting a room under 1000 or 1100 inr then it will a great deal.
Room tip :- If you will choose upper level rooms, it will be more airy and low on wifi network.

A perfect home away from home. Kudos - Mr. Ajay Mehra, the proprietor of this guest house. He himself is a complete package to provide service, fooding, travel support, everything. Food is excellent. Room is neat and clean, toilet perfect. Lobby roof top restaurant is awesome, full view of Jodhpur Fort. Wonderful view from Lobby. Very helpful support, he could arrange auto and car at reasonable rate. Polite behavior and would help you to feel comfort. Only con is very narrow staircase and the locality is in probably Old Jodhpur. But if you walk 50 meters, you can reach the main clock tower area, Umaid Bhawan Chowk. Perfect for middle income families. I recommend it strongly.

What we liked:
- Very quiet place
- Good location : 10 mn walk to the clock tower, 15-20 mn walk to the Jodhpur fort
- Friendly staff
- Clean
- Working wifi
- A great roof top to chill out with an excellent view on the fort
What we didn't like:
- Difficult to find ask the people in the street
- Room without window (but there is the roof top)
- Take your own towels and soap (not provided)
- Bed constituted of one bed linen, blankets and pilows
- Do not take the room downstairs, ask for the upper room
