Chuck Manis took my reservation the same morning and made sure I had a room. He registered me and put me in the Brazos room and explained a few helpful things for my stay. He explained that he would need to leave early the next day to get his wife at the airport, but I was going to leave earlier, so it was a moot point. He knocked $15 off the price since I wouldn't get breakfast. The room had a comfortable queen bed with en-suite bath and it was easy to get connected with Wi-Fi so I could get some work done with my laptop and tablet. I'll stay there again if I'm through Mineral Wells.
I didn't ask about military discounts.
Parking was easy, free, right next to the B&B.
I left too early for breakfast.
The tap water was just fine for drinking.
There were plenty of electric plugs for my gear.
The hot water came on quickly.
The area was quiet.
This Is What a B& B Should Be!

This B&B is easy to find as it is on a corner with a hanging sign in the yard. Parking is off the road to the side of the house. This old Victorian-style house is just like the photos here and on the website. Each room is themed. We stayed in the Angel Room. We brought a bottle of wine to drink on the balcony in the evening. There are wine glasses available and nonalcoholic drinks available upstairs in a small fridge. Breakfast was fantastic as were the hosts, Chuck and Wilene. This is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway. I plan to go again!!!!

We have been staying here for 5 years. Every stay is better than the one before. It feels like home when you walk up the path, no matter who comes with us. All the little touches to the rooms, fresh flowers, robes, towels, souvenir Crazy Water labeled soaps express the personality of the owners, Chuck and Wilene. Welcome Mountain becomes more like Welcome City. Breakfasts are to the "T" with flavor, flair and fun. The tourist guide sections and magazines show current sites to visit in the area as well as historical facts about a most interesting city, Mineral Wells. Jadi Lou Martin,

My husband and I like to just get in the car and see where we end up. We found ourselves at the Silk Stocking Row B&B in Mineral Wells with no reservation or warning of our arrival we were made at home at once. It is a wonderful old home and the owners are fantastic.
Delightful Experience!

We arrived after well dark. Mineral Wells uses numbers for street names both EW and NS. This B&B is at the corner of Fourth St and Fourth Ave. We had to call to find out that it was across the intersection from where we were parked. ... Silk Stocking Row is in a nicely-furnished Victorian home built in 1904. It has been updated with air conditioning and more bathrooms. The Western-theme room was a little close (Queen-sized bed, table, wash stand, wardrobes, bed-side table, TV,...), but fine for us. ... Wileen and Chuck (the owner-operators) are the best!! You will feel like their best friends from the moment you enter the building. They talk to each other like a couple of kids. You are staying in their home, and they treat you like family. ... They served breakfast when we agreed (9:30). The food was tasty and well-presented. ... The public rooms have books about Mineral Wells and the surrounding area. The town has an interesting history. ... I heartily recommend Silk Stocking Row.
