We had stayed at this hotel for the three days that we were in ooty. We had a wonderful time there. The hotel is in a good location as its bit away from the busy town. Its a great place to stay with family and kids. My daughter had a great time there.
The staff was pleasant and the surroundings were good.
Just need to be careful while coming to this hotel especially if you are following Google maps, it may give a route where the roads are bad. There is a proper road if you look up the dodabeta tea factory. This hotel is just some 500 mtrs after that.
The food was good , maybe they could have had some more variety in the menu especially desserts.
Other than these its a great place to stay , well maintained and would certainly recommend.

Dropped in for 2 days . Spectacular location nestled in the top of a hill overlooking the town. The property is nice with friendly folks. The food is average service is very good. In the games section the furniture kept needs lil improvement the couches keys are all stained and the area is smelling of damp. It's a nice place far from the madding crowd.

One of the best places to stay in Ooty in my opinion, located in rather secluded areas of. You avoid the busy city at this hotel. It's a small walk to the city.
The rooms aren't that special. However the hotel has a lot of in-situ activities from a badminton court to a basketball court.
The food here is amazing. The vegetable jalfrezi is the best thing on the menu. Overall, its good for a short 2 day break in the nilgiris.

I was very impressed on seeing great photos while booking, but very disappointed on my first arrival to the lobby. I almost wept on seeing the room, so small, so substandard, still had a feeling of get cheated. I had to constrain myself to not spoil the mood of the family trip. Not at all worthy of money spent. Rooms are highly priced, very small, no place to sit and relax, the extra bed is creepy, bath room is stinky, not maintained, water leaks to the room, no bath tub, no toiletries, not a 4 start style type. The similar room might cost around 80% less. Buffet style breakfast is not good, very few varieties and not tasty too. Food ordered through room service is highly priced, tasteless and sub standard. Hotel staffs are nice and courteous people, but not very helpful. Certainly not trained well to handle helping in local tours, not having good tour operators, helping guests for their return journey. We had to return by government bus to Coimbatore airport, very horrible experience. This hotel is not qualified as 4 star hotel, in my opinion.

I was so happy, when we booked this hotel.The mesmerising photos, and no doubt the hotel is same as i had thought. But,...
- the small rooms with no special view, at the high price we paid, was my first disappointment.
- bathroom was so small. and body lotion was not included in complementary things.
- whenever we travel somewhere, we(me & my partner) never care about staff, but this was my only bad experience with staff, because this time we were group of three couples and two of us had children (both of 1 yr old), once we were having breakfast, and because of noise of children & little bit time taking task to all of us, THE STAFF ASK US TO KEEP IT FAST, BECAUSE THEY HAD TO ATTEND ANOTHER GROUP FOR BREAKFAST. and i was like, WTF, i firstly checked the tables, to cross-check the fact, that we were told...and i saw mostly tables are vacant, it was buffet breakfast, and we were already late, very few people are left there for breakfast. it was the last day of us, and any of us never expected that from a FOUR STAR hotel series like SINCLAIRS RETREAT.
- few hours before, at night (hardly 9 pm) we ask for ice cubes, they misleading us for almost 1 hr, they niether refused directly, nor responded, and we ended up to manage without damn ice cubes.
If you have courage to bear this type of behavior of staff, then go for it ....EXPENSIVE, FANCY PLACE
