Stayed for 1 night a few weeks ago. The good points were that it is located close to the city center, that staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, it was clean and reasonable value for money. Whilst of course it is an old building the room that I had (204) really did need updating as the furniture, decor and especially the bathroom (have not seen a brown coloured bathroom suite since the 1970s) were tired. Might just have been this room of course.

We visited Boskovice for my nephews wedding. Dodgy feelings beforehand however, once we arrived the friendliness of the local people blew us away, It started when we arrived at Brno airport & where recommended a restaurant in Brno where we had a terrific meal (German based) at a very reasonable price. We then proceeded to Boskovice, a small friendly town with a number of really good restaurants, especially the Blue Ocean, really good food at very reasonable prices. On one occasion we ( a party of thirteen) arrived 20 minutes before closing time & after about 2 minutes discussion between manager & staff it was agreed we could be accommodated. A couple of drinks later we were served a splendid meal at a very reasonable price, many thanks to Katzy Martin. We stayed ( 19 of us ) in 5 rooms & 1 family suite in the Hotel Slavia, whilst the rooms were Basic, the friendliness of the staff more than compensated for this. Breakfast & evening meals were very good & also good value. All of the staff were pleasant, helpful & friendly however, Nicola was in a class of her own. Thank you Nicola, we will be back. The reception staff were so very friendly and helpful in every way. The room was spacious and clean. We had a meal in the restaurant, and drinks on the terrace, all were very good and the service was friendly and quick. The hotel is very conveniently and centrally located in the historic area, a short taxi ride from the station. Breakfast choices were good, although not a huge selection. Given the price, we were very happy with the standard of the food and the accommodation in the hotel. We are planning to return to Brno and will go back to Hotel Slavia.

We spent four days (three nights) in Brno and were very happy with the Slavia. The welcome was friendly and helpful - as were all the staff throughout our stay. Room was enormous with an extremely comfortable bed. The decor may not be 21st century but everything was impeccably clean and comfortable, and everything worked. The free wi-fi was excellent. Plenty of variety for breakfast. As other reviews have said, the location is superb: it's right beside the Brno Philharmonic concert hall (Besední dům), a very short walk to numerous restaurants and shops, less than 10 minutes walk through the city to the two opera houses, and so on. Everything about this hotel was pleasing and the staff were extremely helpful with things like an early check-in. Parking right outside the front door is also a big plus (there's a small charge for this - well worth it). Unless you want a place full of brand-new furniture, this is a fine hotel with a lot of charm - we'll certainly be back. Excellent value for money.

At this hotel one gets the impression that they have gone out of their way to provide guests with a comfortable, quality experience.
There is a pervading atmosphere of integrity.
The rooms have as fine a quality of furnishing as one could expect for the price range.
There is a comprehensive menu for room service, and a mini bar in the rooms.
The food is simply excellent, the staff helpful and the rooms comfortable.
I really enjoyed my stay here.
