Stayed here after moving my child to GVSU in late August. $150 for one King bed, overnight for just my husband and I. Disgusting brown stain smeared on one whole side of a pillow, two squares of T.P. left in the bathroom, and the tub did not drain. Husband and I had to 'wait' between showers for the tub to drain. Most 'Choice' hotels are $75-$95 for mediocre accommodations, we were completely unhappy for $150. Luckily there are plenty of options in the Walker, Grandville, Grand Rapids area. We will definitely shop around next time.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to Grand Valley State University. This is the closest hotel. I found the hotel to be tastefully decorated. Unfortunately in our room there was food debris left on the side table from a previous occupant. But other than that, the room was spotless. I would also add that the breakfast was just mediocre -- nothing compared to the Holiday Inn Express in Grandville, just 10 minutes away, where we have stayed before. Will I stay again? I might - just depends on whether or not I can get a reservation elsewhere.

I reserved a room here for two nights, also reserved a room for my daughter and her husband, as did another daughter and her husband and a family friend with 2 children.
I had to have my room switched soon after arrival, the toilet seat was barely attached to the toilet and the sink would not drain at all. Before I even got to the room, I found the the hall ways, elevators and all carpeting was filthy. When my first daughter and husband arrived in their room, they found lingerie in the room, a condom wrapper on the floor and the sheets had not been changed. they were moved to a different room, and were thoroughly disgusted, the manager was not available. My second daughter was over charged, according to the rates that the rest of us paid, and they would lnot reimburse her. The desk clerk that did assist in changing rooms was very helpful. One Manager that we did talk to "Mike" was rude and not helpful at all. We had a family wedding very close by in the area, there was no other hotel to move to or we certainly would have. I am very disappointed at the condition of this hotel and being that I have family right in the area, it would have been convenient. I will never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and intend to call the health dept in Otawa County.

We took our son to GVSU. Very close location! We stayed for the convenience.
it was "okay" for one night. The carpet in the elevator was very dirty. The room wasn't bad. Had to hold the lever down for the toilet to flush. The breakfast was basic. We paid $85 (without taxes) through Choice Hotels for a Thursday night. That amount more than doubled for Friday night. We chose to leave and go to a better hotel.

good: great location if yor tacking a kid to gvsu, staff friendly, lobby clean breakfast as expected.
bad: dead bug on bathroom floor, bathtub not really cleaned and in am when i moved pillow a bandaid, not ours, fell out of pillowcase which makes me question if they were changed since last guest.
