Lovely hotel..great service..great rooms nicely decorated with comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good...bacon...eggs...bagels and all usual continental breakfast foods.
Would definitely recommend. We will go back for sure.

Stayed here for two nights . It easy check in. Rooms were clean a little tired could use a little updating but good for the price. Hotel did smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways even though it is a no smoking facility , dont know whats up with that. Breakast was more then adequate for once again the price we paid. Would go back if in the area.

Dirty outdated hotel

I am hopeful they are doing upgrades! My room was dusty and very much in need of a facelift. Wallpaper peeling under the windows and water stains on the ceiling. Cracks in the bathroom floor and not clean in the corners. Found a long black hair in the bed under the covers (my husband and I both have short grey hair) so it's questionable if they clean the beds properly. This hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. The breakfast area was in dire need of attention, serving rotten fruit (I seriously looked through 6 apples) and no one around to clean up the mess. Obviously understaffed. I emailed ChoiceHotels after my stay in late August to express my concerns and never heard back from them.

Not prepaid!

Stayed at this hotel on the labour day weekend , the first morning was friday , the breakfast was great ! Hot omelettes , bacon, waffles , all juices and cold food ie yogurt, muffins, fruit. On Saturday morning tho, not the case was lucky to get the last muffin and a bagel, no orange juice, fruit ,waffles, bacon ,omelettes. ???? Did they not realized the amount of people who had booked? Did they not realize the labour day weekend is one of the busiest weekends. Very poor planning. I saw every one come in to the eating area and leave to go out for breakfast elsewhere. Perhaps next time I will not choose this hotel on busier weekends and go to one that doesn't provide breakfast and Factor in the price for it. Otherwise they have done a great job redoing the inside rooms!!! But one thing is that the doors to the hallway do not have a good fit, they have spaces all around the doorway and this makes it quite loud while trying to sleep.

Stayed here for a wedding nearby.

The hotel is fine... quite adequate. The rooms we had seemed to have been refurbished and were quite nice. The bathroom was small but manageable and the sink was outside. This was unusual to us but our Canadian friends said this was common in Canada. We got used to it. They were doing the roof when we were there but it didn't seem to affect us as I've seen in other reports but that was probably because it rained on some of the days we were there!! Once it's done there shouldn't be a problem. The staff were very friendly and really tried to help us out with anything..ironing boards and irons, change for the laundry( which was so useful as we were on a 3.5 week tour and this was a "laundry needed stop") and they even helped me get something that I dropped behind the dresser. The breakfast was not the greatest but it was fine and if you like waffles they had a machine that made great ones. They did use disposable plates and cutlery which was wasteful,I think, but I guess they didn't have the man power to be clearing tables and washing up. There is a really good breakfast place just across from the hotel which we did one morning just for a change. There was a small gym which my daughter used and was quite happy with it.The location was very good and if we were ever in Bracebridge again I am sure we would stay here.
