Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and fully equipped. On the third floor there is a laundromat but they also provide laundery service.
The free shuttle goes to the metro station and two nearby shopping and dining areas. Altough, the shuttle can get a bit confusing because there is 'Radisson' on the side of the van, still our experiences were good.
Breakfast is okay, not a lot of choice but for every taste something. Although, at 8:30 not all choises are still available.
Shady Grove station offers a direct metro connection to Washington D.C. which we loved, great plus of the location.

We’ve been here less than 2 hours and we had to switch rooms. In our 1st room the AC plug was making a noise and smoking, while it was turned off. The mgr. said he would send maintenance up right away but he hasn’t shown up yet, 30 min later. The room also had a horrible smell and the lock would only open occasionally. Now we’re in the second room other than the highway noise the room is fine, so far.

Our room was clean and very well maintained. The breakfast in the morning offered a nice variety of options. We went to Washington, DC and it took about 35 mins. to get to downtown DC. The hotel is located near stores and is right off the highway. The staff was helpful and professional.
You can use the gym, restaurant and office center in the hotel next to the Sleep Inn. There is also a seasonal pool.

The \staff were wonderful from the time I walked in until the morning I left. Pleasant, friendly, informative and polite. My room was large, clean and considering it was on the ground floor, quiet. It had a walk in shower instead of a tub which I liked. The carpet did not show the wear that is usually evident in budget franchises. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of selections from croissants to eggs and sausage, yogurt and fresh fruit. The coffee was hot and tasted good. They have a shuttle to the Metro and are right next to the Beltway and plenty of sidewalks in the area to just go stretch your legs.

My mother and I stayed here for a week while she participated in a study at NIH. Our rooms were great and reasonably priced. Daily breakfast was available and tasty. We had access to shuttle to Shady Grove Metro Station and to shopping/dining locations. We will be back.
