Five star

All the 5* reviews here are exactly what I want to write. Sofia was so warm and welcoming. The accommodation spot on and location couldn't have been better. Breakfast, a full meal and therefore lunch not required. I will return!
Lovely homely B&B in the heart of the medieval old town of Rhodes

We stayed for a week at the beginning of October. We had seen fantastic reviews of Sofia Pension and were not disappointed.
We followed the advice of other travellers and booked Alex the daring taxi driver who took us from the airport to the door. The streets are very narrow and I do not think we would have found Sofia's on own. It is a 3-4 minute walk from the city walls across cobbled streets, so not good for pulling suitcases. Sofias is in the heart of the old town and just a couple of streets away from the main areas. The old town is really beautiful.
Our double room was on the first floor next to the breakfast area, The room was very clean and had all we needed. It had a fridge and kettle, it could have been better with mugs rather than tiny cups however I am sure that if we had asked Sophia would have provided these. The bed was firm and suited us fine. There was a thick blanket in a cupboard if needed.
Outside there is a communal terrace and also a roof garden which was great to see the towns landmark buildings especially at night and the huge cruise ships which tower above the city walls.
There is an optional breakfast available for 5 Euros each if required, it is really filling with local food prepared by Sofia and her husband - as described by earlier reviewers.
Sophia and her husband were so accommodating and friendly but not at all intrusive.
They were so helpful to the extent that when I slipped at the harbour and required a hospital visit for some stitches Sofia and her husband insisted that they took us to hospital in their car and waited for us to bring us back - you cannot put a price on their loyal support. They were brilliant! Thank you Sophia
Good value

We stayed here for a week. Our room was large, however there were no windows that we could see out of. There was a kettle & cups & a fridge. The beds were very firm, which may be ok for some - a bit too much for us. The shower, although small was good with enough pressure and hot water. The air conditioning wasn't working, however we didn't need it so not a problem for us. Breakfast is the same every day, although Sofia did offer to make an omelette if we wished. There is a roof terrace, although it could do with some TLC. The thing to remember is that it is a two star & for that it's great & has loads of character which you won't get in the larger commercial hotels. We would stay here again, though probably not for a weeks stay. Dogs barking at unsociable times may cause issues for some.

I want to thank so much to Sofia and his husband for their hospitality. We stayed there 3 days and happy to find this hotel. Lovely place, clean rooms and great location. It should be better if they try to make their breakfast a little bit rich.
Sofia's little gem

Had a chance to come to Rhodes, looked on trip advisor & old town came up & with it placed to stay, looked at reviews & Sofia pension had good reviews
The Lady cannot do enough for her guests, from waiting for you to arrive, sometimes in the early hours to up & down the stairs to the veranda, bringing b/fast & more tea:coffee if you want it!
Give it a go, it's not a 5star hotel it's a b&b, but if & when I come back, I know where I'll be staying!
