Very pleasant

Hotel is situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in Menorca not overcrowded with crystal clear water and amazing little restaurant on the beach. This places is more for beach lovers as swimming pool is always very busy and more suitable for families then couples. Rooms are basic but with great views and food in the hotel is amazing so much choice even someone who doesn’t eat meat . Really really amazing for 3 stars hotel. If you are looking for quiet holidays you are in the right place as all the nightlife is far away from the hotel except few nice little bars , one with really cool music and decor - Buddha Lounge.
Perfect family holiday hotel

We had a great time at this hotel with our family. The staff were excellent. The entertainers were great with the kids as were the chefs and waiting staff. The range of food was extensive and tasty and the hotel location couldn't be better for the beach. N
Thanks to Ith for help in organising flowers and bubbly for our wedding anniversary also. Highly recommended hotel.
Good hotel, end of season

Booked online with FirstChoice on 11th October to fly on 13th October for 7 nights. Flight from Bristol, all inclusive board with transfers, travelled solo, cost £635.46.
The hotel is two blocks, as you stand on the beach and look back up at the hotel the Milanos is on the right and the Pinguinos on the left. The hotel is on the beach and the closest hotel to the beach in this resort. Son Bou has the longest beach on the island, other hotels/villas are separated from the beach by the dunes/wetland nature reserve.
The hotel was closing on 23rd October for the end of season until it reopens at the end of April 2018, therefore it was vey quiet. Only the milanos side was open.
I found check in to be slower than it should be, a good ten minutes per guest. Handwritten paper receipts slowed the process. Safe in the room cost €15 for the week (should be free in my opinion) enter your own digital code.
Room:- Was given a twin room with sea view. Rooms 2-25 on floors 2-11 all have a sea view.
Room had ample space, I thought the bathroom a little dated, but was otherwise clean and perfectly functual. Wish the big bright lights shining down on the pool were switched off at night. The underwater pool lights went off around midnight, but the bright search lights stayed on all night which was unnecessary and shone into the room around the blackout curtains - I woke a few times in the night and thought it was daytime due to the brightness!
Food:- Due to low guest numbers, as end of season, top half of restaurant was unused. However I still found there to be plentiful food on offer with enough variety to suit most needs. On quieter sessions, food was covered to retain heat, but even when it wasn't covered it was always hot. Bigger glasses for breakfast fruit juice would be good. The restaurant walls could do with a lick of paint, food stains on some walls, the furniture is showing it's age and the windows could do with a serious clean - the dirty glass especially noticeable at evening meal when the poolside lights shine through.
Outdoors:- Pool was a good size, the sea was warmer but pool was still warm enough to use. Lifeguard on duty from 11am to 7pm (pool could open a bit earlier?). Shame the waterfall over the large wall did not operate. The pool was clean, water clear and was cleaned daily, but the grouting is black in more areas than white and will require deep clean/replacement once the pool is drained over winter. A gate from near the pool gives access to the beach along a boardwalk through the dunes.
Evening:- Again as end of season there were few people in the hotel, but had entertainment on six nights out of seven which I took as a bonus. Finish times varied between 10:30pm and midnight.
Out and about:- the bus stop outside the hotel is not served, go to the stop outside Kit Cat bar, get busses here to Mahon, Cuitadella and Alaior. The beach has crystal clear waters, is the longest on the island and can be walked in just under half an hour. Beyond the headland to the west is the next resort of Santo Tomas. There is a well marked pathway over the headland, it takes around 50mins to reach Santo Tomas and there are a few more beaches there, although there are more shops etc. in Son Bou. In Son Bou the shops and restaurants were closing by the day with the end of season, but there were still plenty around. Although as a note, the bowling complex has been closed since 2014, and the two clubs Copacabana and Mojito both closed in 2016 after fires, none have reopened, meaning the resort has lost some of its biggest and late night venues.
If the hotel had stayed open one more week it would have picked up a lot of customers from the English October school holidays the shops and bars in the resort would probably make more money in that one week than the rest of October, but with all the resort hotels closing before the school holidays they miss this trade. The hotel is again missing a lot of trade by opening just after the Easter holidays instead of before them - a missed opportunity to bring a lot of extra income into both the hotel and the wider resort.
Overall I found the hotel clean, staff worked hard (cleaners seen working every night even after 10:30pm and maintenance staff gone 11pm). There are no major issues and would agree with its 3 star rating, there just a small number of minor issues which if resolved this hotel could easily move itself into 4 star category. Would stay again, but in higher season.
Excellent location

Wonderful stay here - again. The location is superb. The hotel is very clean. A very good choice of food. A nice touch is the use of the showers after checking out. Will be staying again and would recommend it to others.
Could be so much better!

Let me start with the positives as the location of this hotel is superb. It is right on the beach and located in the heart of one of the nicest resorts in Menorca. I had a sea/beach view over looking the swimming pool which was impressive especially watching the sun set over the ocean.
First impressions were good, the foyer and bar/reception area all look modern and bright and because it was quiet being the end of the season i was allowed to check in early. The room itself was tired but clean and with a decent sized balcony with lots of sun. Things started to go down the pan (literally) when I flushed or tried to flush the toilet for the first time, it didn't produce a drop! to cut a long story short over the space of 7 days the plumber/handyman attended on 4 separate occasions as it went from not flushing to not stopping flushing. I gave up reporting in the end and resorted to taking the top off the flush and pushing the faulty part into place. The bathroom really needs a re refurbishment as the toilet and shower were on their last legs. Another big problem was the key card to enter the room, 2 or 3 times a day for the first 5 days I had to go back down to reception to ask for it to be re set. At first I was asked if it had come close to my mobile and accepted that it may have but having down a few times to the pool without my phone and then unable to gain entry I realized it was a faulty mechanism. The engineer attended on a couple of occasions and by the 5th day I had no problems. This hotel could be so much better with a little more care and attention and a better maintenance program.
