We stopped here after realizing we couldn't make it to Thunder Bay.
The room is very simple but has everything you need. A small fridge, microwave, and coffee pot.
While it could use an update, it isn't the worst place but I don't think it's worth the price we payed.

If your looking for a Hilton, Radisson, or even a Days Inn, this isn't it. And, it shouldn't be expected. You're in Nipigon, not Thunder Bay. This is a motel with clean rooms, decent beds, and friendly staff. We stayed here while on a motorcycle trip around Lake Superior and it provided a good resting spot and a good night's sleep. There was even a box of rags outside our rooms to clean the bikes in the morning (labeled for that purpose). Food is a bit of a walk away, or a short ride, but again, it's Nipigon, not Thunder Bay

Stayed one night at the Northland. Very, very basic older, tiny, cheap rooms. Bed was lumpy. Bathroom was in rough shape. Remember the pink tubs and sinks? Housekeepers doing a poor job. Doors were dirty & carpet needs cleaning. Comes with free Wifi, fridge and coffee. Receptionist very friendly and helpful.

Not much choice here and that reflects in what they can charge here. Most expensive accommodation we have had across Canada for the most outdated accommodation. There has been very little investment in this property, washrooms, carpet etc are all very old and show their age. Beds were clean and generally ok. No continental breakfast and wifi wouldn't work.
We were traveling with my sons dog and for $15 he was allowed to stay.

This room has not seen a renovation since the 70s. It has old, worn furniture and bare minimum amenities. That said, it is surprisingly clean! It's right on the trans Canada highway and the doors and windows don't do much to block the sound.
