booked for 4 days ..what a surprise... a pure gem. it says hostal but could be 3 star hotel anyday. everything is light bright immaculately clean. rooms are spacious and well equipped. right in the centre of everything. probably the most friendly and efficient staff i have encountered in top hotels, reception Raphael is a super star !

This is our 2nd time here in 2017.
And we've already booked for a short break in February.
Just a 2 minute walk from the train station and taxi rank.
This hostel is easy to find, and check in at any time of the day or night.
Both times, our room had a balcony facing overlooking the pedestrian only area.
Great for the sun in the morning🌞
Spotlessly clean rooms that are serviced every day if you want at no extra charge.
Spanish TV in your room, with the option on some channels to change to English. Free WiFi. Clean towels. Etc etc etc
Shower was a bit snug, I blame that on the fact that I'm larger than the average lady! I had to compromise with the shower curtain several times. 😂
Continental breakfast is an optional extra. Very useful if it's wet or cold. And the coffee is good.

Lovely staff .not a bad room with free wifi. Bathroom floor got soaked when you use shower . Lifts to upper floors the only down side is theres no parking. Loads of resurants nearby. about 15mins to the beach.

Just arrived at Sol Y Miel. I was really looking forward to this break having had a very busy summer. I booked through Alpharooms as usual. Having stayed at and enjoyed Sol Y Miel before I know that as a solo traveller you need to book, and pay extra for, a double or twin room to get a decent one. This I did. Somewhere along the line the message got lost and Sol Y Miel have put me in a single room. I expect this to get sorted tomorrow and naturally will be expecting some sort of refund as I have paid for 7 nights double or twin, not single, accommodation. I presented my travel voucher from Alpharooms showing the double accommodation to the chap at reception in Sol Y Miel but he was unable to help. The telephone number given by Apharooms does not appear to be manned. Not happy tonight. Null points for Alpharooms and Sol Y Miel at the mo.

Centrally located walking distance from the train station, surrounded by bars and restaurants, its a good options in Arroyo especially for the reasonable rates. Clean rooms, good service from the guys at the reception
