It was my first Mexico vacation and it was wonderful!!!! The staff was so warm and helpful - all the time. The food was so delicious. The view of the ocean was perfect and the pool area is great. If you are not into walking two miles to get to any area (restaurants, pool area, spa area) this is your resort. It's cozy, tranquil and peaceful.
Big shout out to Elena and Oamion for always making sure everything was great!!!
It was so wonderful - headed back in March.

Great Hospitality, fine food, super location and weather. At the risk of giving away one of my honey holes, I can't wait to get back to mi amigos at Solmar. The management and their team of workers do a
fabulous job. Tadeo and the crew should be recognized for the work they do making a person feel welcomed and pampered. I can't say enough kind words for everyone at the hotel that made my visit memorable and I'm looking forward to our next visit. From check in till check out, the suite my wife and I had, the maid did a wonderful job, the service in the restaurants and around the pool, the sushi chef. They all should be commended. Thank you one and all.

Spent a week with all the kids and grandkids at our favorite place in Mexico. Our special person Heather was a great help with setting up prestocking and transportation before arrival and then upon arrival helped with reservations of restaurants and activities. The service and staff everywhere was excellent. Francisco was beyond great at the sunset pool. Manny and his whole bellman group were amazingly efficient, friendly and always prompt with helping. Again as always Silvia helped us upgrade to a fixed penthouse with the location we had always wanted. We so appreciated Yamel as our housekeeper for both family units. Yamel is an extremely hard worker, friendly and excellent at her job. We had many family members coming and going and she was always great about working around us. We have been at GS since the beginning and it has a special place in our heart for us and our family.

Free upgrade to playa grande. Pro: Room and resort amenties there were excellent. Pool drink and food service was very good. Con: check-in and transfer to upgrade was time consuming. We were put in private area of resort. Very remote and required a lot of walking. Private pools were nice (infinity) but best seats were reserved hours in advance by guests who laid towels out far in advance. Resort walkable to town and marina restaurants. Beach basically deserted. I would definitely return.

The experience was wonderful. This was not our first time to visit the Solmar. We go back because we love the people, food and hospitality. I would like to thank a few of the folks by name: Tadeo, Manny, WiFi, Juan Luis, Heri, Damien, Salvador, Rosa, Vanessa, Gerardo, Redmudo, Isreal, Suzanna just to name a few. Thank you all SO much.
