New owners, name use to be Sombrero. Very clean & updated. They also have seasonal rentals so it is mixed, not just resort. We stayed on the 4th floor and had a wonderful breeze. Elevators were still broken due to the hurricane but we didn’t mind getting the exercise.

Stayed there before the hurricanes hit so don't know what it looks like now. Enjoyed the second story room with views of the boating canal and sunset. Rooms were good (the a/c could have been less noisy) with a nice kitchenette. The restaurant food was marginal - stay with the pizza. Breakfast almost non-existent.

Our trip was cut short by hurricane Irma. However we did have 4 great nights.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were exceptional including a bedroom, kitchen area and living room. Pool was clean and in close proximity.
I would highly recommend a stay at the Skipjack to anyone visiting the area.

Despite Hurricane Irma barreling in and having to cut our stay short, this was a very nice place. We loved the rooms, the staff, and the pool was the cleanest. Parking wasn't a hassle and I loved the bathroom shower. Yes, it's the little things. I would be thrilled to stay here again. Without the hurricane.

We only ended up staying one night because of the Hurricane, but it was a nice place. Rooms are like apartments and are very nicely furnished. The carports were nice to have. The restaurant and bar were closed and everything packed up because of the non-resident evacuation the next morning at 7am, but I did take a night time dip in the pool. Everyone I dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly. Will certainly be back when I return to the keys.
