What People are saying
Not as bad as I thought

We needed a couple of cheap en suite rooms for our trip to Wembley. We got what we paid for. The hotel is being refurbished so the communal areas are in a bit of turmoil. The rooms were basic but clean with no frills. I didn't find it as bad as some of the previous reviews.

where do i start, my husband and i stayed in this hotel 18 years ago, and stayed in a family room and it was very good and clean, it had a lovely cafe and all was good, 18 years later, oh dear what a dive, entrance dusty and messy full of boxes with baby equipment, floors damaged in reception i tripped and nearly fell, hardly ever anyone at reception desk, claims to have free wi fi but does not work in rooms, no tea making facility had to ask for kettle and cups, they had to go out and buy us a kettle, the carpet was dirty, curtains hanging off the rails, small bath room so dirty the toilet was all brown at the bottom no plug for bath, toilet seat flew off when you sat on it, skirting boards filthy windows so dirty muck under furniture, radiator pipes leaking and botched up, damp on ceiling, and noisy is an understatement dont think they know how to close a door quietly, front door did not lock so open all night, and when i pointed out some of its failings the guy said it is a grade 1 listed building for its excuse, little does this guy know that none of its failings had anything to do with its grade 1 listing its just down right filthy, run down, noisy and needs shutting down, pictures are completely out of date the hotel looks nothing like the pictures and cafe i was told shut down 3 years ago, yet on web site it is showing as still running, there is everything wrong with hotel now and my husband and i was truly shocked it had completely gone down the nick, what a shame as this was a really good hotel 18 years ago, but that place needs a million quid if not more spent on it, the only good thing was the location and that is all, so i can safely say we will never recommend the hotel and will never stay ever again, i am sorry i have had to leave this awful report but it is all 100% true.
Very poor indeed!

If you're looking to get no sleep, here every noise, have a cold shower and sleep in a dust filled room, this is the place for you!
Bathroom: the side of the bath was missing, the toilet smelt and wasn't clean, there was no soap at all, no hot water either. The shower rail was held up with string on the vent that didn't work, meaning that everything was damp.
Beds: Very uncomfortable and only one very flat pillow, tons of dust on the lamps above the beds
There was also a huge gap under the door into the room, at least 5cm, which means there was always light coming through and you could literally hear everything in the corridor. The place is not soundproof at all. At 3am we were loudly woken up by the room in the hallway opposite. They could have been in our room it was so loud.
Also, no wifi anywhere in the building apart from reception.
The whole room was very unclean and covered with a coating of dust. If you're looking for a particularly bad hotel experience, then this is the place for you!
Do not go to this so-called hotel

It should not be called a hotel - rather a hostel - even then that's an insult to some hostels.
The room was disgusting - curtains from the 1970s with rips in, windows were rotten, bathroom awful - looked like it was just 'added' to the room... toilet was like the one my mum had in the 70s/80s - shower - well I don't want to say a thing...as for the bed - terrible. I now have awful back ache.
it was noisy - probably because the windows were so bad...try getting them fixed, and being a central London location, double glazed perhaps? The arrogance of the owners is beyond me...just because it is central London and cheap does not mean you should keep the place like this. Totally disgusting. I don't care how cheap it was - it was disgusting.
folk - don't do it - if you need a room urgently, got to a camping shop, buy a tent and blow up bed...plenty of parks around to camp in...
Budget Travelers with No Frills

If you are looking for somewhere to get the basics and on a budget, this hotel will work for you. It's close to public transportation that made it easy to get where we wanted to visit. Rooms were a bit dirty and we had to leave the window open most of the time. Not fancy, but you can make it work.
