Great location + clean + good size + terrific staff. We will now only stay here when we come to Melbourne. Terrific experience and any issues we had on our stay were instantly addressed. Stay here, you won't be upset

Nice location very central if that’s where you want to be. Great having a washing machine and dryer in the room as well. Full kitchen as well. Be great if the bathroom hand soap dispenser was fixed it kept oozing out and pooling on top of the bench in the bathroom and sometimes it fell off because three little plastic inserts were missing, of the four. So

My elderly disabled parents stayed here for a week and everything was ideal for them. They required a room with no stepping over anything, and that was provided. The room was set up with a disabled access shower, wider doors, etc. Perfect.
We also took a room for a couple of nights to be near my parents, and we were also happy with our room. And the WiFi was free and actually worked well.
The reception staff were all helpful and all was good.

We stay here regularly. Last time was 4 weeks previously. On this occasion we were given a smelly room - ? someone had been smoking in it. The room initially smelled a weird chemical smell unlike any other I've known. The a/c seemed wouldn't work. Eventually the new chemical smell abated & the stale cigarette smoke aroma was obvious. We complained & after a brief delay, we were moved.
This all left a disappointing emotion for us.
Imagine if instead the staff admitted the problem (presumably they are pursuing the previous guest for extra cleaning charges) & upgraded us without us being disappointed & hassled by repacking for the room move. We would be raving instead of complaining, all for the same outcome on SOE's part!
Then to add insult, the spa pool was not operational for the whole stay (4 nights/5 days), which had been a big factor for why we were return visitors.
Kick up the backside Somerset. You could have done so much better!

Great location and fabulous staff who welcome back the regular clients. I would recommend to anyone when travelling to Melbourne.
Easy access to the heart of Melbourne the many of the wonderful eats and of course shopping.
