Breakfast is what stood out for us at this hotel. Instead of the usual continental breakfast spread at most chain hotels, this place gave you vouchers for the restaurant next door - Stutton’s Steakhouse. It was very good. The room was fine, although the heater struggled to keep it warm on a cold and rainy December night. It’s a large hotel which was mostly empty, so we got a room which seemed away from the few other guests. I should mention that while there’s a number of hotels here in Sonora just off Highway 10, it’s a pretty small place and on a Sunday night there really weren’t a lot of dining options to choose from.

We have stayed at stayed at Days Inn Sonora several times when traveling in West Texas. It is a good value. There are several places to eat nearby and the restaurant next door is good food with reasonable prices.

Age and disrepair are evident everywhere you look. This is a very old hotel in the middle of nowhere and it really shows its age. Carpets need to be replaced. Floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed after the last guests. Tub and tile grout are badly stained. If I hadn't been so tired, and it hadn't been too late to cancel the reservation, I would have gone elsewhere. When I asked the associate at the front desk if they had any old towels available to clean my motorcycle, she looked at me like I had sprouted a horn on my forehead. Breakfast at the steakhouse next door was good.

I wasn't expecting a lot, but I do expect Clean, a toilet that flushes,and and air conditioner that made so much noise that we couldn't sleep!

Bed was too hard..not comfortable at all. Internet would not connect but they say they're adding more routers to make it work better.
