I cannot say enough about this hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is very large. Balcony views overlooking the lake. Rooms are quiet. The grounds are beautiful. Bar area indoors and out. Small private beaches. A few lovely glider rockers overlooking the lake where I spent most of my time. The staff was always friendly and efficient. Would recommend and would love to stay again.

A hotel with class, history, to please the connoisseur. Beautiful rooms, spectacular views.
Great service everywhere. Good breakfast. Lots of toiletries.

I was spending one night on business trip , so you can imagine my surpise when I entered this huge room: traditional upscale furniture, 3 windows and two terraces overlooking the lake and the park. Just beautiful

140 year old hotel with large rooms and beautiful decor, great lakeside terraces, beach and wedding ceremony garden- food in restaurant is delicious- also for vegetarians - service is friendly and relaxed price was reasonable.
Great location for business meetings - nice meeting rooms , small well equipped fitness room and spa area, outdoor pool as well (for summer time)
Located in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy - fantastic views of the lake:-)
The Borromeo castle on isola Bella was impressive - we got there with a hired boat directly from the hotel - worth s visit

Had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Hotel Splendid with a gorgeous lakeside view. Very quiet and tranquil- perfect hotel for 5 star luxury with an intimate and private feel. Room was exceptionally clean and well presented however pillows were a little flat ( this is Europe so 'normal' pillows I guess). Bed extremely comfortable (form mattress), room climate control available, spacious bathroom with expected water pressure ( plus plenty of towels and shower set up so you don't end up flooding the bathroom)
Great location to Baveno centre with a ver pleasant and enjoyable walk (very safe to walk alone at 10pm on a Wednesday night). Hotel grounds connect to lovely park which is a must to walk through. Cheerful, helpful and professional reception.
